Famouse anoying Dj's - Why do they anoy you?

I thought i would make this thread as next month I am visiting cream-fields festival -ing , but i am try to believe what DJ'S to see and what to skip because they are either rubbish or just don't perform.

So I made a list of why I don't like these dj's

1. Annie Mac - She not a DJ yet she fly to Ibiza every year and fill up dance floors playing the same old chart rubbish queuing each track up so when one stop's the other starts.

2. Judge Jool's - Saw him live in ibiza , he was a massive drama queen because his setup was not in the write order after the other dj left , two guys won a chance to be with him in the booth, he hardly acknowledged them dident even say hi or have a picture then told them to go after 2 minutes.

3.Steve angello - Look at me I can create a track that 50% had already been made for me ( knas ) look how awesome I am, he cannot mix for sh*t and live i have hardly ever seen him touch the gear .

4. David guette - If you see him live all you are bound to here is the same old chart and him shouting " i fu*cking love you guys over the mike every 2 mins "

5.Tiesto - Sellout mr tiesto , went to see his club life set what a load of crap every cheesy bit of rubbish played in the charts with a bit of a trance electro drop or beat. Hes gone to the dark side of cheesy euro chart dance david guetta crap !

Best Dj's Ive seen ..

1. A Track - That boy know hows to put on a show a tear it up , he lets the crowd see everything .

2. Swedish house mafia ( Besides angello) they just put on a great show , fireworks and all i don't believe there a track that a least someone dousent like. They really know how to hold the suspense to a good drop and throw in something completely unexpected.

3.Booka shade - Being able to see them do everything live along with live percussion and chilled atmosphere is strangely surreal.

4. Deadmau5- I like his opinionated attitude about himself and other artist's which quite a bit makes sense, he just reminds me of the guys and myself playing video games and putting random bit and bobs together to make stuff and new sounds.

5.Altern8 - Two young guy back in the 90s who always wore boiler suites and face masks so they could not be identified as benefit fraudsters as they never new how long they where going to make it in the charts or as a one hit wonder .

All the beautiful Jet-set were going to Amnesia, wearing designer clothes, very international, very beautiful, very rich. House music hadn't broken yet. Sly & Robbie's "Boops" was one of the favourite tracks there. When it finished, all the Jet-set would race up the road which connected San Antonio to Ibiza town in their jeeps whooping and screaming. We were mesmerised. We had never seen party goers, or a club like it.

Next year I went again and that's when House music arrived. Amnesia would finish at 9am and then people went onto Space. Rampling & Oakenfold took a piece of Ibiza back to the UK that year. Strangely, it wasn't until 1989 that I started getting properly into House music.

Alfredo was the man in Ibiza. Still love the Balearic style. I just hate new genres of dance music being labelled up, because then you get Dj's who just confine themselves to that 'style'. Was great to have a quality mix.

Unfortunately Amnesia had to add a roof, due to local residents

I believe this apply's to a lot of big names. Nobody but nobody can deny that David Guetta is a polished Producer with a midas touch for producing commercial hits time after time and probably the second most requested artist at any main stream evening after the "got any Rihanna?" crew

Wouldn't pay to see him DJ though......

Famous DJ's that should be on your 'HATE' list are people like Pauly D, Paris Hilton, etc...

Nice, very jealous indeed!!! I've always wished I could have gone to some of the events when house music was first kicking off, particular the early rave/acid house parties in the UK when the commercialisation of dance music didn't really exist - I had copies of mix tapes passed around friends, which were de rigeur! Particularly the shelleys/eclipse/edge/universe tapes from the early 90's of which the Sasha G-Spot & Universe sets inspired me in to dance music and DJing. Unfortunately I wasn't quite old enough to induldge in going to events until 1993/94. I've now built a 100GB+ collection of old school mixes from the mid 80's to the mid 90's including all of the Essential Mixes. It is great to go back and reminiscence.

Okay here my small...hopefully subtle rant about Deadmau5.
This guy is exceptional at producing...I dont believe anyone really argues with that. He's proficient in many differeny DAW's and often works his own script into software programs. Having been watching his Ustreams and Live sessions I can say he usually does everything (studio related) very well.
All and All he is a great producer.

I've seen him twice, once at an Unplugged session; where he "dj's" and again at his large stadium show (The deadmau5 dvd; Toronto). His stadium show was so bland and essentially just moving from one production to the next with limited effects, transition etc. His unplugged show (in a another city; almost a year later) was much better. he played more of his House remixs and tracks and his show was amazing.
Obviously for his Live shows he tries to 'manually perform his routines through clips on ableton and whatever or software and hardware interfaces he's customized (so respect) but his Live shows are just yawwn...which is a shame because (as previously mentioned) his producing ability and "Dj" shows are much much better.

Also just saw Claude von Stroke at a Mad Decent Block party and he was amazing too.

I saw annie mac a few years ago at creamfields and she was cracking, good tight mixing and a real banging set.

One of the best i've seen were one + one (james Zabeila & Nic Fanciulli) they were awesome together. Not sure if they still do it, not seen em on a bill as it since.
Claude Von Stroke at around 3 in the afternoon at another creamfields when they put him on as i believe 1st set in the afternoon for some reason. but it was great i'd heard a mix of his but didnt know all that much about him, i believe who's afraid of detroit had jus gone big, it really set the mood for a great day!
