At one point I was majorly lusting over the Hybrid X1, which incorporates the platters from the CDJ101 into a full-featured USB/SD player, alongside a hybrid analog/MIDI mixer, all in a big flight case. Unfortunately, it's nowhere NEAR as affordable as the 101 series haha :P |
Doreen Schurle 28.04.2013 | Thought I was the only one who had a pair of CDJ101s haha. They're ridiculous little things to look at but actually REALLY nice, especially considering they were only |

Hanna Ridenbaugh 26.11.2012 | just a quick photo of some active speakers my mate and I went halfs on. Very chuft with them. 556859_10151516641735898_398767609_n.jpg |
Hanna Ridenbaugh 13.05.2013 | Cheers buddy Ha, that's what everyone is saying to me lol. The decks are no where near as good as the ones you offered me though. Need a little work and a good clean. |
Tamela Batara 13.05.2013 | Nice, a REAL DJ set-up now JK, but love it... |

Hanna Ridenbaugh 07.05.2013 | Hehe, yeah it's pretty cool actually, cheers. It does everything i need and more lol. Sound quality could be a little better, but I believe after owning a xone , any mixer will struggle to live up to it. Thanks yeah after getting all the remix deck thing and playing around with them, I'm not entirely happy with the setup still. Just going back to dvs for beat matching two deck mixing, some loops and few effects. I'm happy with that. Just concentrate more on song selection. |
Eunice Howe 07.05.2013 | Where do i recognize that mixer from.... Hows it treating you? I like the setup very clean! |
Doreen Schurle 28.04.2013 | It was really tempting back when I thought having the option to go laptop-free was a good thing, but these days I wouldn't play without my laptop under any circumstances, so basically it'd just be a MASSIVE MIDI controller lol. |
Hanna Ridenbaugh 28.04.2013 | Yeah that is one pricey unit. But quite a nice setup. |

Hanna Ridenbaugh 28.04.2013 | Have you seen zestoi's map for the cdj101's? It's very impressive. |
Hanna Ridenbaugh 28.04.2013 | Yes they are very underrated controller's. Think the pitch fader is 14bit and long as well. Very nice. 8 midi channels to. And they just work. I do miss having jog wheels and a pitch fader. Sure you can beatmach with the x1. But when friends are around using cdj's it's a ball ache going back to back. Thinking of getting one of the behringer pl1's to get jog wheels and pitch fader back in the setup. |

Hanna Ridenbaugh 30.03.2013 | Bit of an update. |
Hanna Ridenbaugh 11.12.2012 | 350w rms each, loud enough for now, plan on getting some active subs for some summer free party's in the woods :-) |
Latoria Kavulich 10.12.2012 | what are those rated at mate? look badass |
Hanna Ridenbaugh 10.12.2012 | Bump of thread for Theo. :-) |

Hanna Ridenbaugh 20.11.2012 | cheers buddy, it's so much fun. But when I play out I just use x1 and soundcard with the house mixer. If my mate had not lent me his turntables indefinately while he travels, I would still be rocking the reloop contours. Can't have it all but will damn well try Looking forward to seeing new updated pics of your setup |
Tamela Batara 20.11.2012 | Nice set-up. Hoping to get dvs set-up on the new system (when it arrives). |
Chasidy Heckenbach 12.07.2012 | cheers i managed to eek out quite a bit of functionality given the buttons available without actually having all that many layers really. i miss being able to move the needle on a real turntable so like having quite a few different seeking options. beat grids are great in mixxx as all you need to do is move to the start of a beat and set the grid to start from there. sync atm is tempo sync only so it just works really well. ass re: the tinnitus, definitely have to be careful with your ears then. production is fun, i'm trying to get back into it. haven't quite successfully made the transition to soft synths where all i used to use were physical ones. i do like being able to fit all my gear in a laptop bag tho atm trying to find my way around massive, that free moog vst that was given away the other month and the free synth1 now it's on mac. |
Hanna Ridenbaugh 12.07.2012 | To switch between timecode and normal is just flicking the line in/phono switch on the mixer, to easy. Yeah still got one contour . A controller edition. I do enjoy it, so many buttons n stuff available to map is very handy to try things out. Saw what you got out of those dj tech cdj 101's, very impressive. Djtech should sign you up! they are cool controllers those. I have not tried out Mixx yet, be interesting to check it out. Although my tinnitus is getting worse so believeing about concentrating more on production and let someone else destroy their ears mastering my terrible tunes. |
Chasidy Heckenbach 12.07.2012 | very nice i believe i'd like to have a dvs setup, but so long as i could easily switch between timecode and playing my actual records. i'm really very happy with the jogs and pitch faders on those cdj101's you gave me tho tbh so if/when i do buy turntables again (used to have sl1200 mk2's) it'll be mostly for playing real records on... you've still got any contour's? |
Hanna Ridenbaugh 12.07.2012 | Lol yeah, my mate bought a one way ticket to Thailand and left his decks with me to look after had to get dvs. But actually I just prefer midi controlers with traktor and normal vinyl by itself. Especially with all the deep house records I'm looking after. |
Chasidy Heckenbach 12.07.2012 | another new setup then? looks bloody impressive... i'd like to get some decks again sometime, even if only to use with the vinyl collection i still have. |
Hanna Ridenbaugh 23.06.2012 | cheers buddy how you enjoying the reloop contour? |
Katelyn Hoctor 23.06.2012 | looking great there loving the vinyls and uv picture |

Chasidy Heckenbach 05.05.2012 | cool photo of the cdj101's i'm currently creating a mapping to use them with mixxx. they're extremely underrated controllers imho with 143 ticks per revolution on the 12cm diameter touch sensitive jogs and decent 11cm 14bit pitch faders... they will be much used i am sure |
