Just had to Google them. If "noise" was a category, they'd go in there :P But their music seems slow (90bpm maybe?) so I guess R'n'B. Same as Deep House and all of that dren.

Oh for the love of Christ...

"Melancholic House" is the most irritating of the ones I've listened to so far. Should be called "Emo R'n'B".

If you ask me, there's only 3 genres of (electronic) music; Trance (> 128bpm), Commercial (128bpm) and R'n'B (< 128bpm).

EDIT: At least we can now categorize Random Access Memories as "Neo New Wave".

kinda like human race... i feel like theres only 4 main genres of music.. and then everything stems from those. this is just another gimmick for beatport to try and make money. im all for supporting artists, but beatport is just as corporate as any other music industry. i wish artists would just release wavs/320kbps tracks from their own site or something...

Yeah it does but it isn't

It's just slow, lo-fi, Indie with a lot of fuzzy ethereal sounds. Pretty much like the old 'shoe gazing' stuff of the 90's . Definitely not kids and glow-sticks. I believe that died out with the Klaxons and the nu-rave indie scene, thankfully.
