What Traktor features do you wish it had?

For me, I imagine it having a much more enhanced controller mapping editor, OSC support, and maybe support for "scripting".

I believe many a person would appreciate a more intuitive way to map their controller to Traktor. Imagine pressing a button on your controller to instantly slice up the song into X parts or change to another mapping, or writing a script to detect parts of a song and place cue points there dynamically.

Anyone else wish Traktor had something it didn't?

But if the track is playing through the master output, surely you will hear the FX through the PA as well when you activate the effect? I am talking about auditioning what the live channel will sound like with an effect applied before actually adding the effect to the master output, like on a DJM mixer.

Yep.

Play track > Set effect target to that deck in mixer section > Activate effect > Cue in headphones

This is something you can already do in traktor.

1) Maschine integration, something similar to the Bridge or better
2) Proper itunes library integration

those would make me very happy

Nice! I will check it out...I'm using a MF classic. Using it in 4-banks mode. 1st 2 pages for Deck A & B hotcues, Page 3 to turn on ISO FX for deck A or B and select which bands lo/mid/hi to send to FX. The FX themselves are controlled using a separate controller (in my case its an MC3000 or my X1 when I am using timecode vinyl). The 4th page is just for random things like switching FX presets etc. Have been toying with the idea of a spectra, but am not yet convinced...

But definitely would want to see traktor integration for these!

You can create very cool buildups by sending just one or 2 of the bands to the FX unit and leaving the other one dry and slowly turn up the effect. I believe Stewe did a mapping and video that was featured on the main page that achieves this by duplicating a playing deck and doing some EQ kills. I came up with a less sophisticated mapping for my needs, but would love to see this built-in as right now I have to jump through a number of hoops to actually make it work.

2) For Traktor DJ for the iPad...for the love of God...add support to store the track names/playlist when you record a mix.

3) Add Import From/Export To Rekordbox support

I use it with Traktor because it my software of choice (And it's been no problem mapping it). I have it in a flightcase so the routing would only be done once. If I were to get a Pioneer mixer I would need something to controll the deck part of traktor and would not be as easy and fast to setup as my setup is now. Open flightcase conect power and line out boot up traktor load song press play everyone is dancing.

@synthet1c yes that sure makes sense with it being a latency problem.

My dream would be adding an Audio 10 root all 4 chanels throug it into each channel of my DDJ SX use the mixer part on SX in standalone mode then have the RMX-1000 connected as a send/return inside traktor.

I don't want to repeat myself very often

Far as development goes, things I would like to see won't be seeing until PRO 3... Hopefully!

If you could script traktor, unlock all the features, have open support for Midi/HID and run VST's I'd change from VDJ...

@gullum.. atomix said they couldn't incorporate an effect send/return using a soundcard as there is latency in both receiving and sending the signal, that is probably why Native Instruments haven't done it either. The stuff about NHL and not being able to rewire is just a marketing move to make you buy their gear. It is odd that maschine can't sync natively to traktor though. They are easily capable of including anything they want in the software. I don't know how their marketing department missed out on the obvious upgrade from djing to production that maschine offers.

How would I connect the RMX-1000 as a FX module in traktor?

IN-depth clip editing in a remix deck so I don't have to go to Ableton to basic sample editing. This could obviously be remedied with maschine integration.

This.

Also, Grid markers that contain bpm information so the grid would shift automatically for tracks that change tempo.
