Alphonso Deitchman 24.05.2013 | So just a handful of small retailers, makes sense that they have stock as most don't turn up on any web searches. |
Tamela Batara 24.05.2013 | DJKit, Phase One, DjSuperstore, Djtech direct, pegasus sound and light. |
Alphonso Deitchman 24.05.2013 | Decks.co.uk, ChemicalRecords, DV247, Juno, Thomann are all out of stock. What are these big retailers again? |

You get audio interfaces built in to the mixer. You get to play mp3's/WAV and Vinyl You get the best tactile feel in the business. You have a pretty professional set-up, which you wont need to upgrade when you get better. Just add to. Buy your stuff second hand, and if you don't feel it's for you, you can sell it on, and make back pretty much most (if not all) of your money. Can be had for the same cost as a high end controller. You can post on here, with absolute arrogance, KNOWING you are a REAL DJ because you have the 1210's... |

There's not a whole lot that carries over into djing. It's also much much harder to set up and get into than DJing is. If it's what you want to do, do it, but not under the pretense that it is you getting into performing. This will be out in a month, and is almost definitely the best All-in-One controller for the money that has ever come out (from what we can tell pre-release) Whatever you do, don't listen to all the fanboys on here when they tell you to buy an S2. |
Savannah Ough 23.05.2013 | Yeah it isn' djing, but maybe it'll be fun using the midi controller, maybe to see if i have an enjoyment for it, then possibly in the future purchase a proper dj kit (when i have the money) lol. Any good places, shops or online websites to buy a midi controller u would all suggest? |

Charline Dye 19.05.2013 | How come a lot threads theses days end up in a pissing match of some sort? This thread went from helping the OP decide what to start with, to crap about what is used in clubs. Really?? If you want to argue those points how about starting a new thread. Or post in one of the many threads where it has already been discussed ad naseum. The OP was looking for a little guidance from those with more knowledge/experience about what gear is good for a beginning DJ. How about giving some more information on why you recommend something, or why you disagree with some one else's opinion on what to start with. You know information the OP can actually use to make a decision. In case you missed it.........

Johanna Eggerson 18.05.2013 | Pretty much what everyone else is saying. It would probably be a good idea to trial many of the different programs out their first. I would trial Traktor, Serato and VDJ and then figure out which one you like most. Then work out a budget for some gear and try and find a controller that comes with the software i.e. Kontrol S2/S4 with Traktor, DDJ-SX with Serato, etc. I believe the Kontrol S2 would be a good place to start and I know from experience. But that's just my opinion, everyone is different. Good luck. |
