If you believe you're better cuz your mixer has effects, challenge q-bert to a battle and watch his ass mop the floor with your shitty skills with the non thud rumble version onf THIS mixer. haha now that you mention it. yea qbert is a beast at scratching i'd say alien like, but i've heard he's cleared a packed dance floor after 10 minutes of scratching over instrumentals at peak hour. IMO I'm pretty sure this is not true but plausible. are we talking DMC battle or Redbull Threestyle battle? totally different but i wouldn't ever wanna battle qbert or scratchy seal but would totally chill out at the octagon if ever invited haha

In all honesty if they would of stuck to their word or offer this at $140 then it would be a no brainer. Elliot Marx of Innofader is a awesome guy and smart as hell. He was the main support for the DIY mixer project and provided VCA schematics next level stuff
A correction: DJ Tech announced it at $149. I know Qbert said it was $99 in the NAMM video, but as far as I'm aware, it has never retailed anywhere for $99.

Do you have a link to the schematics? I'd love to see them.

actually i believe it posted for 99 euros..... which in USD is $130.81 not $200 or $180 like i've been seeing unless the dollar to euro conversion has changed dramatically in the last few months. Didn't know it was announced at $149 is that msrp? anyone selling it for that price in the USA? lol kinda interested in this thing again if the pricing is correct. i'll pm you the schematics gotta dig it off one of my old hard drives. just my opinion that a standard 2 channel mixer with a sharp crossfader shouldn't cost more than $150 if it does more stuff fine the price goes up. but for what their offering at that price you can find a decent second hand mixer and slap a real innofader in it. @DJWORX i'll pm you the schematics gotta dig it off one of my old hard drives

that DVS send/return feature is so simple yet amazing, why has this not been done before? especially with the rise of everyother DJ using a DVS system ?

Only the Crossfader is mini-innofader.

Linear Fader is Alpha fader

Damn I wish this was around when I was starting... minimum price for a mixer with a decent fader used to be like $600. Now they just need to make a bare-bones turntable that's as cheap as possible so you can get an entire setup for $600

For me, the big thing is, this mixer has addressed the DVS issue. It's great to be able to switch between vinyl and DVS WITHOUT having a mess of stacked RCA's/splitters/wires behind your mixer.

I can definitely see the DVS Send/Return becoming a standard installation in all future mixers.

Not really sure why people are creaming over this? I believe it's actually aesthetically ugly as fuck! And you pay more, just for it to be made ugly. I'd pick the Behringer over it any day.

It's good value but for the same price you can get a NOX202 which has much more features.
http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/NOX202.aspx

I believe the DJ-tech mixer would probably suit scratch dj's more though because of the room on the mixer.

The fader BODY is based on a currently existing fader from A-Plus. A-Plus is made of former people from Alpha who wanted to make a better product, and knew they could without making the compromises that Alpha has made in the last few years. As such, the bushings are a little bit tighter, and the rails are far more high-polish (needed for smoothness). That is where the similarities end though.

The fader PCB is a simplified version of the currently available Innofader. Simplified in that it doesn't have the calibration control dials, so the actual controller used is a little bit simpler. It does have an end stop calibration button on the bottom though so you can set the end stop points (useful if you want to push out the end point for some strange reason). The fader itself is actually somewhat insane-the linear response curve rivals and in some cases exceeds the linear response curve of many short body Alpha-style faders on the market. This itself is really important-it is pretty hard to get a great response curve in such a small body.

The important things here are that

A: it is an Innofader, capacitance and all, just made small and affordable enough to integrate into a manufactured mixer.

and

B: you should do some research before you say stuff like that-it isn't like there are not a ton of articles on the subject, many of which are on the very site you are on.
Fantastic clarification post there, cheers
