Traktor 2.6.1 update now live

Downloading right now. Changelog mentions metadata sync with drop box? Built in key analysis, synchronization with TRAKTOR DJ, which is probably the iOS app. Check it

I'm running Lion with 2gb of RAM, but that's only possible due to an SSD, it was balls before hand.

That said I wouldn't recommend it.

No Cpu load, working as good as it was before 2.5 i even can lower my latency from 512 to 256

Anybody notice a difference in cpu load? I'm running an i3 laptop with no problems, but don't want to mess with a good thing.

Taken off page 207 of the manual

9.8 TRAKTOR PRO with TRAKTOR DJ
This section will provide a detailed explanation for using Native Instruments' iPad application TRAKTOR DJ alongside TRAKTOR PRO. The two operate together via the process of Metadata Sync, the required setup procedure along with further considerations regarding working with the iOS system are covered herein.
One of the most useful features of TRAKTOR DJ is being able to prepare tracks for later performance in TRAKTOR PRO. You can put new music into TRAKTOR DJ (even purchase new music from the iTunes Store directly on your iOS device) and then perform BPM and Key analysis, followed by additional tasks such as adding HotCues to the tracks. All of this metadata will then be transferred to TRAKTOR PRO so that the track will be ready to go the next time you wish to play it."

I'v still got a slow browser search refresh. Still got the random refresh when playing in the preview player. This is taking valuable seconds when performing

This sucks. My MacBook is too old to run 10.7 (41 months old White). It can run Lion but I'm afraid my MacBook will be to slow to safely run Traktor. Any way to bypass this?

I had mine totally analysed with MIK 5 with the setting to write the key on the proper tag field on and Traktor picked it up right away. Also, you can disable key detection in Traktor if you prefer to use MIK or any other software to handle the job.

Meh, there isn't a single new feature in OS X 10.8.2 that I like...

Or are there other cool things that are in the software but didn't make it into the apple commercial ?

(currently running 10.6.8)

I have it running on 10.6.8, it seems to work fine it didnt require any hacking or tricks. The better news for me is its working fine with my app (Masch R) as well. Happy days. Anyone know why 10.6.8 isnt supported?

I already use the key column and have my keys listed in musical notation (like C#m). If I use this update, what will happen? Will all my keys be renamed with Traktor's key notation?

You can always sort by key and then add Camelot notation to the comments in bulk if that's what you're used to.

MiK has the license for Camelot noting. The one Traktor uses works in the same way (m=A and d=B). If you don't like it you can always change it to display flat/sharp

Love the key detection and comparing to Mix in key Traktor naming is a bit different Aminor in MIK is named 8A in Traktor it's named 1m. But I did not have to reanilyze andy track so it wont make any diferace to the way I'm used to use MIK as the wheel functions the same only the numbers start at a differant note it will still be 7 1/2 notes or a 5.th between 1 and 8

select a track (any track) in the browser view, then sort by any of the available fields displayed.... (let's say BPM)

when you click to sort by BPM, does the track you selected disappear from the songs shown on the browser? I would love for it to behave like iTunes where it keeps the selected track highlighted and somewhere in the current view so you can see the tracks before and after it (or above / below).

the way it works now, it keeps the track selected, but does not keep it displayed in the window.

Do I make sense?
