X1 midi setup problem
X1 midi setup problem Posted on: 04.11.2010 by Alvin Baertschi i have Traktor recognizing the X1 midi input, having added a "generic midi", but when i hit (shift)+(hotcue) to enter midi mode to try and map it half of the buttons don't send a signal.FX1 button 3 on the left side, and FX2 'ON,' 2 and 3 are dark.. on the left transport, IN, beat >, cue/rel, and sync are dark, making a little zigzag pattern... it's the same pattern that shows up even if Traktor isn't set to input the midi.. has anyone else run into this? i was under the impression that all buttons/knobs were assignable in midi mode as well as while using the standard mapping. my hopes are to run decks 1/2 from the standard, and 3/4 off midi... any help is greatly appreciated... | |

| Leeanna Ayla 04.11.2010 | Controller editor is a separate program that installs with the X1 drivers. It should be in your native instruments program folder. |

someone else had the same problem an me. in controller editor he found some of the buttons the switched off... he turned them back on by changing the 'type' to whatever corresponds with a button that was already working... I cant figure out where i got to change this in traktor. i have scratch pro |
| Alvin Baertschi 04.11.2010 | thanks dude. the 4 deck mapping is not really what im after, i wouldnt know how to use it lol. im only trying to get my x1 mapped so that i can use it as a mixer... if anyone has mapping for a mixer that would be sweet. i did have a look in the page where the mappings are for download but i didnt find anything useful |
| Tatum Ansaldo 04.11.2010 | Not sure what's causing that. In terms of using the X1 for 4 decks, this mapping is probably a better solution than using MIDI mode, since it allows use of hotcue mode for all 4 decks. edit: now with the attachment |
