Help + Advice on new Oxygen8 map =D
Help + Advice on new Oxygen8 map =D Posted on: 18.12.2010 by Christen Hedayati Hey all, I'm revamping the Oxygen8 map to be more useful in a traditional 2 deck setting. The way I see it, I (and most real DJs) would only use this device for a quick last minute party or something where you wanna just DJ for fun. I'm having problems though mapping out a Loop/2 and Loopx2 button. I have a loop 8 toggle set, but can't figure out the rest. Also, for deck A and B I have an extra key. Right now I have tempo bumps, play pause, cup, sync, loop8, and effect toggles. I can't really believe of anything else to put there. Maybe a volume kill? The C button on the far right doubles as a shift to allow for 1-8 cue point juggling, and the mod wheel is pitch bend and tempo adjust. All knobs are fader + 3 effects for each a and b. The previous/next buttons are A and B headphone toggle, and record is record (for making home mixes on soundcloud and ish) Any advice would be baller! I'll post a TSI once I'm done for those interested. -Adam | |

Charline Dye 19.12.2010 | Just to clarify, you want a button that would half your loop each time it is pressed and one that would double your loop size with each press. Not sure how to do that,on my Oxygen 49 I mapped keys to each loop size so pressing the key just instantly gives me the loop size I want. I'm sure what you want can be done, but you may have to use Bomes to do it. My SCS.3 system does it that way, and it uses Bomes. I will look and see what I can figure out, and let you know. |
Christen Hedayati 20.12.2010 | Yea but to be honest it wasn't really my style, plus I'm looking at this is a way to learn about mapping so I can make my APC40 extra traktor friendly haha. I can get the loop x 2 somehow, probably not the right way, but I can't figure out the /2 for the life of me. |
Charline Dye 18.12.2010 | Have you tried Ean's mapping he used in the clubs? If not you can download it from here it's at the bottom of the page. |
