Just one mapping issue with VDJ/Typhoon
Just one mapping issue with VDJ/Typhoon Posted on: 02.01.2011 by Josette Parquette Hey guys, first post here. I've been DJing for about 6 months now and have had numerous smooth gigs....just one thing that kinda scares me is i have never used headphones for any of them! I mapped my typhoon to VDJ and got it running perfect except i'm totally baffled on how to get my headphones working right. Can anyone explain how to map the rest of my typhoon so i can use headphones just like any normal DJ would? Thanks | |

Coreen Pankow 03.01.2011 | Gudi, i have the spin and used it on a friends computer with vdj and all i had to do was go to audio settings, set spin as the device (in your case typhoon) then go to the output routings and 1/2 as precue and 3/4 as output master and you should be in business. you may need to do some tweaking of where shit is as im not as proficient with VDJ as i am with traktor. |
Josette Parquette 02.01.2011 | See there's another problem already. In that diagram, the Typhoon is whats going to the speakers, I couldn't get it to work like that with VDJ. I'm just running RCA out of my Laptop to a DI box then to mixer. The last time i tried to get my headphones working, i really F***ed up VDJ's settings so i'm just looking for someone who can tell me almost exactly what to do :P |
Hermelinda Tuccillo 02.01.2011 | http://www.pssl.com/c/images/product...oonDiagram.jpg Please try to make use of this diagram. Using two sound cards when your controller is perfectly capable of handling what you want to do is a total waste. You will get a delay between what comes from the monitors and what you hear on the headphones and also depending on how bad the internal sound card is and how good your headphones are make you not hear certain cymbal overlappings |
Estefana Musfeldt 02.01.2011 | Typhoon has a soundcard right? you need to set it up though the settings on VDJ there should be a section that will allow you to see all the channels availible....... should be an option that uses two soundcards......thats what used to do with it use a rubbish external soundcard with only one output for speakers and the output on my laptop for headphones. |
