He never said that here. Do you mean the NI community ? It's hard to tell because he never said that over there either.

Q: any news on a windows version?
A: No Windows version is planned right now.
Hi guys,
thank you all for your appreciation and support! The choice not to have a Windows version of the app has various reasons which is not the case to discuss here. It's not an unchangeable decision (which one is?), so let's see what the future will bring.

Since the update I have not come across any issues. This is an absolute must have for creating or editing mappings.

Not sure if its been mentioned here already, but a few reasons to get & use:

- Can have multiple tsi files open, select multiple controls and drag&drop copy to another Open tsi file.

- Filtering visible controls/mappings by global-deck-mixer-fx in-out etc. Really helps focus on a specific section of controls.

- Each Traktor control/mappable function is described to make it easy to understand its function.

- Arrow keys work for moving selection up & down (WAY LESS REPITITIOUS MOUSE MOVEMENT)

- A much bigger window that you can resize as well as column widths

Some features that would be nice to have -
(since one of the apps developers has been reading. I will post this on the app site as well)

- Ability to select multiple items and then edit "Deck or Midi Ch" assignment. Not sure if it is even possible to change just the midi ch but keep the rest of the message (cc# or note etc).

- A user template menu (similar to the wizard menu) to store & access controller mapping template. Instead of browsing to tsi file.

- Printing or exporting text (including list & field formatting)

Thats all I can believe of. Except...

Great App!

Update works for me and the merging of tsi's brings the CC notes over now. Maybe try uninstalling it and starting over.

Just bought it today - I've been searching for this for months and months and like so many others have been avoiding a full blown TP2 map - time to actually use the features the way I want to

I've been using it a bit. and It may need an update soon. Some of the commands in XM dont directly translate in to TP2, (I.E. effect settings) but this is a GREAT way for a beginner to learn mapping in a more user friendly environment. The only thing is when you import your new tsi into traktor you just double check your mapping and fine tune a few things as needed.

I'm assuming the Snow Leopard requirement is probably due to the App Store.

WOOOOT!

Question:

Is there absolutely no way it works on Leopard?

Only Snow Leopard onwards?

Thanks!

Hi there,
I'm one of the developer of Xtreme Mapping. First of all I'd like to thank you for the enthusiastic appreciation and you're showing us.

Going technical:
- the fact that when dragging-and-dropping from one file to another all the MIDI settings are reset is a bug in 1.0 and has been fixed in 1.1 version which is already under review for the AppStore.

- the fact that Triggers are reset when loading/saving a TSI in Xtreme Mapping has never been reported before, please submit a bug report (eventually attaching the original, uncorrupted file) to info AT xtrememapping DOT com.

- for all the other problems you might experience with the app, we will be more than happy to fix them and provide our users with solutions and updates. Please send bug reports, even tiny little ones, to info AT xtrememapping DOT com.

Have a nice friday!

this was why i decided to not waste more time on decoding their tsi's but work on my midi masher app - which i wanted anyway to do stuff i just couldnt do in traktor alone.

there again... now i know that it is possible to decode and encode their tsi's i might have another look. what i would like (as well as it running on windows - no mac here) is no gui but just being able to dump out to xml or something - that i can then hack/grep/regex the hell out of to dupe/hack stuff - and then repackage back as a tsi.

if i had a mac i'd have bought this guys app in a second tho...

What I hope is that NI sees theres a real need for something like this if people are paying someone else for a program that's not great but does a better job than that tiny ass preferences screen.

Maybe this will get them to kick it in gear when it comes to either a revamped mapping section or an totally external program built in-house to compete. Say what you want about Apple and there App Store strategy but I believe it will be good for most markets. Hopefully the creator get's updates flowing as fast as we are filling his bank account.

One thing i did find out is that the app will set the value to all your triggers to "false" and you will need to set them all to true manually (in my experience so far).

still working through some kinks, hopefully im just missing something,

wonder if it's possible to run a hackintosh in a vmware/vbox session just to run this app...

edit: stupid question (i hope) but where do i buy osx from? i can only see "upgrade" links on apple.com... and yes i would buy osx and run in a virtual session just to run this app

I've run into the same issues as you with 2x DNSC2000's and also with the copy paste from one tsi to another. I hope it gets worked out in a future fix. I've also noticed another "bug". I duplicate an existing tsi that I've verified. Change some FX settings with the tsi and they work perfectly BUT my Cue and touch sensitive jogs no longer work even though I never altered any of those mappings. It's really odd so I'm holding off using it for now. I'll probably just create a basic map with the wizard for potential future use.

wow.... just the fact they can decode and then encode a tsi that traktor can read is a massive step - so no matter how buggy or not their actual app may be it all sounds awesome to me.

wish i had a mac now ofc

I do external mixing so I wasn't worried about it.. I dedicated my code to effects and my two sample decks, as jojo posted you can check out my progress. I will update it as I get more familiar with everything.

Honestly everything I did was using the built in wizards in the program and it worked flawlessly. All my rotaries have perfect feedback and switch when jumping effect/params.. Saves tons of time not having to do all the ins and outs..

Good luck with your RGB.. I want pics dammit! Im soo tempted to pick one up and finally be set..

OK, got it to recognize one midi channel so I guess I'll make a mapping for that and then duplicate it 3 times and just change the midi channels for each. Still bummed that when you drag and drop from a working tsi into a new blank one it doesn't copy the midi note or cc value.
