This thread is to be used as the official thread for sharing any issues, bugs, questions, and general feedback for the DJ Techtools Kontrol S2 Custom Mapping, version 1.1.

Re-import the tsi. The FX settings often take two imports to load properly

This is the mapping design. If you want to change whether the Filter or Gain is on the top layer with the other on the Shift layer, find them in the Assignment table for the DJTT mapping by sorting by comments and change the Filter conditions from M1=0 to 1 and M2=0 to 1 and do the opposite for Gain M1=1 to 0 and M2=1 to 0. M1 and M2 are the left and right Shift modifiers.

You have the default mapping loaded at the same time at the DJTT mapping. You can tell by the fact that your Deck letters will show up as blue when using the NI default mapping. Go into the controller manager, select the default mapping, and turn off the In-Port from selecting the S2.

If both the default mapping and the DJTT mapping are using the same In-Port then they will both be active simultaneously causing weird behavior.

12.03.2012		Since you're posting in this thread, I'm assuming you have v1.1 of the DJTT S2 mapping. I'd start with upgrading to the new(er) version and go from there.

Also related, Effects Bank 3 is not mapped to anything...would be a great feature to have a "Shift" capability to dynamically assign the effects banks and presets to a Deck A OR B OR BOTH....

This is the mapping design. 19.02.2012		Any one else noticed that when you try to download the S2 mapping from DJTT they link you to the S4 mapping?

14.02.2012		next edition would be nice to get that echo and slicer what you had in vci100 mapping on earlier traktor that is only thing I miss from vci. otherway I'm starting to bond with this mapping too, only problem I am having is that crossfader problem mentioned earlier.

13.02.2012		Does anyone else have a problem with the "Right Loop Size" knob? mine jumps values like crazy. sensitivity is at 100% and accel is at 0%; same as the left one. But the left one work normally while the right one is retarded.

Solutions?

I'm new to the DJTT Community but i'm using the S2 and the DJTT mapping for 2 Months.
I figured out the all the bugs mentioned in this thread and made/make an updated mapping to fix these. (Also added some new features)

What i've already done.

1) "Fixed" the Master LEDs. So you see the PGM
2) Fixed the "Deleting a hotcue when loading a sample" Bug.
3) Mapped Access to Hotcues 5-8 on both decks when you press the "Engage C"(for Deck A) and the "Engage Deck D" (for Deck B). You can enter the sample Mode by pressing shift + Engage Deck C or D (C for Deck A, D for Deck B).

What i'll make soon
1) Today I'll fix the BeatJump so you can jump the number of beats which the loop size indicates.
2) Maybe i'll believe of some functions for better Sample Deck Control. (Have to believe how i can do this best, and still keep the mapping as simple as possible)
3) I'll try to remap the hotcues slots so that the LEDs are blue for Hotcues and green for Loops. (Haven't tried something like that yet ).


My Goals:
1) Fix the known Bugs of Ean's mapping
2) Add some "cool" features
3) Keep it as simple as possible


Please post some wishes which i could include in the mapping.

i downloaded the link (from djtt webpage) for the s2 mapping but somehow got the s4 instead?

now when i try to re-click the link to d/l the s2 mapping, it says i'm already registered and wont allow me to download again.

any ideas on how to get Ean's mapping for the s2?

09.02.2012		I have tried everything in this thread and still get a problem with JogFX also controlling the tempo fader. can anyone supply me with a real reliable fix for this problem? this makes no sense

edit: it is disturbing how simple and awesome this mapping is to use once you get the kinks worked out. I went back and read through and saw that someone removed all other mapping from being loaded and that is what ended up working for me. also doing some slight customization on filters works wonders. really cool stuff... thank you all.

10.02.2012		You are using the wrong map
DJTT s4v.1.2.2 is for the S4 and will be very different [2 decks vs 4 decks]
the mapping you need is the DJTT S2 Mapping v1.1.tsi
Try that mapping and load it twice in traktor then you should get some functionality.
Also as a side note what version of traktor are you running i know i tried the S2 with older versions but found it didnt play nice with anything less than 2.1.1 which is buggy. If you can try updating to latest traktor release.

09.02.2012		Can anyone please help me?
i have traktor kontroller s2, i downloaded the mapping, i want to the software, clicked "settings", then controller manager, then add, then import, i selected the file.
now in "device" its says: DJTT s4v.1.2.2 mapping.
in "in-port" and "out-port" i have "n/a".. i tried to click Shift+Reset and it doesnt work... all the controls working, but i cant activate jogfx...
i tried to turn off and turn on the controller and the software but it didnt work.
help please!

08.02.2012		new to the site, and controllerism (though I've been music making for 6 years, so dont worry, not a COMPLETE n00b ).
was pretty excited about getting the s2 and the mapping... but things seem like theyre not going well I mean, I'm not giving up the s2 OR the mapping... but it's frustrating that there seem to be so many unanswered questions
and im a new guy! can't imagine the frustration you guys that own it are going through.

hope they sort things out soon. or at least let us know when they will.

04.02.2012		If you want to change the presets take a look at the mapping.
Effect 1 Select - FX Unit 1 - Left.Jog.Encoder
button options will be set to delay,flange etc you will need to change these to reflect what presets you would like.

Im trying to create more custom presets but its hard to get my head around the mapping.
holding shift and turning the fx1,2,3 will allow you to change what fx are loaded into that slot not sure how to save them besides alter the mapping.

I've got the same thing with the effects presets, the only other problem I had was the LED meters only showing master but that was easily fixed using the instructions of an earlier poster....hope they'll get this resolved soon

1st preset: Delay, Digital LoFi, Peak Filter
2nd preset: Flanger Flux, Delay, Peak Filter
3rd preset: Flanger Pulse, Peak Filter, Iceverb

31.01.2012		i purchased the djtt s2 mapping and while the flow is great, i wished it was built on the native mapping so that the jog responses etc are kept, plus there are some bugs (pitch slider and xfader gets stuck when traktor first opens etc) that kept me from using the DJTT mapping

looking forward for a revised update , i hope they will decide to implement it on the native mapping this time!

HA HA HA...it's crazy! He is pushing the envelope which is great but some of us want simple.
I kinda agree! I am a bit lost with Jiggle's mapping at the moment but it has such big potential. I recommend it to everyone but it really takes time to learn the functions.

But yeah... I am kinda a n00b at DJ'ing and I also feel at times like something more simple would be better for me.
Hehe! But still my hat is off for Jiggle because he keeps updating this one like a monster! Plus he listens to every feedback and wish!

01.02.2012		I want the DJTT map to have the bugs fixed. Jiggles map is great but all the functions are excessive for me. I am constantly in a panic trying to figure out what button to press before pressing another button to hold down another button to get a function to work.
HA HA HA...it's crazy! He is pushing the envelope which is great but some of us want simple.

29.01.2012		This thread is pretty useless DJTT EPIC FAIL on the support of your mapping.
Update in early JAN.....its end of jan and nothing.... id advise anyone having issues with the map to use jiggles S2 map, fully supported AND updated!!!

27.01.2012		Now I noticed a new bug. ARGH! When I import the S2 Mapping 1.1.tsi to Traktor Pro and try to use the jogwheel effects... the presets are all wrong everytime. :/
