Kontrol S4 Overlays Posted on: 10.12.2010 by Jacquiline Alabran Well now since the s4 is out, overlays are availaible from 12inch skins. I have the template for the controller and I am a graphics designer by day and DJ in training by evening
. I really appreciate what everyone contibutes to this community
and id like to contibute my skills also. If anyone wants a custom skin, Ill be more than happy to design it for you to your request for a design fee of $15. Then I'll send you the file that you can upload to 12inch and purchase the skin and have it mailed directly to you. All im offering is the design, not the production. Here are a few pics of one that another member did and one that ive done along with the 12inch one. Ill continue to work on more and more. Please feel free to add any ideas and requests. | Charline Dye 24.04.2011 | Thanks Haze! I like the 3D jogs too Was going for easy to see in low lighting (and succeeded), but the skin will not glow under black light. It does however have a slight shimmer and great contrast under black light alone, and of course the DJTT UV knobs are like a beacon. |

Skinz consist of an air release vinyl, solvent inks and micro textured, scratch resistant polycarbonate laminate....technically speaking.

| Audrey Pinda 13.12.2010 | I believe a lot of these are pretty neat... but BUSY as hell. I like something quite simple really. If I were (and may) do one, I'd probably make it UV reactive and keep it a single color with black lettering, and have it be consistent. |

Since they are technically the ones printing and cutting the overlay they will want some type of branding on it. I dont typically brand my designs as i dont find it necessary. My promotion is all about word of mouth. It keeps it personal. As far as the knobs go, from what i have heard is that the faders are easy to remove but the knobs are more difficult. Best way would be to protect the controller with a soft cloth and use a flat screw driver to GENTLY pry them off. |

As in the 12 inch skin one, not the Traktor/Native instruments branding as I love the logos! Also, how easy is it to get the fader caps and knobs off the S4? When I eventually get one, I don't want to break it before I start! |
