Vci-100 mkii

Vci-100 mkii
Posted on: 25.09.2010 by Jorge Conro
I've just talked with a guy who work @ Vestax and he confirmed me that the new VCI MKII will be out on 2th october 2010...and that it will be very very impressive...
The biggest news are that there will be an integrated sound card with it.
I believe we can see the VCI100 MKII on the BPM @ Birmingham

(And sorry for this bad english)

I have a gut feeling that theres more to it and they just threw this out there to throw people off so when the real one is revealed people will be like "WOW hella good deal"

St8upDrew I feel ya bro Like i would love having a foot pedal to add a Wavy Dub step bass to my mix or to like add a back spin or break effect.

Was just saying that it might not be a bad idea to make Str8upDrew's suggestion.. even as a custom modded controller.
Mid-entry then. I agree, metal would be nicer. But for convenience, the built in sound card is more ideal. I'm sure people will be surprised at the build quality, obviously not comparable to that of the MK1, but at least give it a chance.

Also: why didn't they make this thing truly 4 deck??

I wouldn't consider the vCI-100 an entry level controller at all.

At first I hate... the I believe hmmm.... actually having that layout which is almost perfectly designed for Tpro is nice.

I heart my VCI-100 mki Arcade Button badboy though... this doesn't make me feel the need to upgrade.

I'll have to have a go on one to know... are they saying the jogs are high res? ie high res midi or HID, that's kind of big...

Don't get me wrong, I believe other controllers are infront of this now and this isn't the vestax traktor game changer it could have been. Just needed a more rugged build

I'm not hating on the plastic at all. That stuff can be strong, but I predict lots of problems with the tension adjustment on those jogs.

Sure doesn't look that impressive at the moment. They can lose that stupid joystick for a start. And so expensive... do they not realise that NI & Denon both have mint controllers coming out next month? I'd stick with the original VCI if i used one personally.

Like the layout. Hate the plastic. Sticking with the MK-1 and audio2. Next!

It looks a bit crap to be honest, the whole appeal of the vci100 for me was the sturdy all metal design!

Plastic means cheap in my eyes!

Todays blog post doesn't do it any favors.

I believe the hat's available in Japan only so you'll probably have to find someone to import it for you. I don't know why they went with a hat anyway, I would much rather have a monkey. I guess it all comes down to cost, cheap bastards.

Do you know if you have to pre-order the hat? Can you confirm that wearing this hat activates a exclusive taunt? How will it look on my pyro?

if thats it....even with that date on there.

I believe it looks cool as hell. The jogs look better and they've adopted a few things from the TR-1 and VCI300. Having an integrated sound card I believe is great. Hope it's true, and also that 1.4 will work on it!

Plus the date on that is Jan 2010, I believe that screams fake.

Given the lackluster VCI-300 Mark II specs and the lackluster "new" features listed here that almost seems plausible. I hope not though, cause there's not much there to convince people to upgrade from current VCI's.

someone on aboutdj.nl posted that link, could be real, but a lot of spelling errors nonetheless

edit: wow and the image is dated january 2010, pretty old

Im in for the hat...

This may well be true and explain why Vestax has not been willing to update the Firmware on the VCI100 (DJTT FTW).

Anyway, ive taken the rumour on board, i wont listen to anything else about it until i see a Vestax announcement cus i am throughly bored of reading "a guy told me" about DJ products.

(And sorry for this bad english)
If it was at BPM Vestax would have been bragging about it by now OR that Vestax guy has just been sacked...
People dont break their NDA like that unless they have been told to start a trickle feed and they dont start trickle feeds by telling a guy on the phone.
Remember the Richie Hawtin video where someone "accidently filmed an X1"..? Thats a Trickle feed.

Anyway we will see on saturday...

I talked to Mr. Vestax himself, he told me about a robot they are coming out with this Christmas that will DJ for you. All you have to do is fork over cash and look cool next to it at clubs and parties.

They have just released a VCI-300 mkII

So i'd kinda believe this, if it DOESN'T have a 4 channel mixer, NI is getting my money when the s4 drops!
