Help me pick my new setup
Help me pick my new setup Posted on: 16.06.2011 by Percy Keehan Now from what I have seen is that this thing is pretty much a Numark Omni Control with a better audio interface, more controls, and amazing jog wheels. The only difference from the Reloop Digital Jockey 2 Master Edition is that this cannot be used as a standalone mixer. Most Traktor controllers don't have that anyway so you might as well get this one. Has anybody ever used one of these before? Are they worth it? | |
Tatum Ansaldo 20.06.2011 | I believe you'd be better off with a 2 or 4 channel external mixer in place of that Behringer. As Mostapha said it really isn't that nice to use, and I can tell you that the faders are poor. The whole thing's made of very cheap feeling plastic. Personally I'd look at something like an Ecler Nuo 2.0 or 3.0. And for the instant gratification mapping you really only need 1 midifighter, but if you really wanted 2 I'd suggest using them with this mapping: http://www.djranking s.com/community /sho...hlight=mapping |
Dorie Scelzo 19.06.2011 | I like what you're going for and see why you'd pick it over an NS6 or S4 |
Sinior Gkogkos 19.06.2011 | Reloop DJ 2 Master Edition is 24Bit/96khz interface, what is the aduio interface of Numark Omni....... I can tell u, Reloop DJ 2 Master Editon sound output is very very nice. |
Matthew Urtel 19.06.2011 | Umm, NS6 or Kontrol S4 > that stuff. and cheaper. |

Percy Keehan 19.06.2011 | ok first of all, very sorry that im posting like a new setup every 3 days. I just want everything to be perfect before i actually order them. So now I believe I have finally found what I have been looking for. -Behringer BCD3000 -Native Instruments Kontrol X1 -2 Numark NDX800s. -1 or 2 Midi Fighter Classics ( Instant Gratification) For example: I know, a lot of people have told me that the only downside to this setup would be the Numark NDX800s. Well, to me they are amazing- and not to mention they are at an amazing price. I might use Serato with this setup- but Traktor Pro 2 is very hard to walk away from. You guys believe there could be small improvements or any other little things to buy for this setup? |

Nakisha Startup 19.06.2011 | BCD3000 was my first controller... I had a ton of problems in the beginning (just make sure you get the current patches and everything). But after that, it did everything I wanted. I then bought a X1 and I thought it complemented it very well. Just don't drop it down the stairs like I did with mine... lol |
Gavin Rachor 19.06.2011 | For what it's worth, I've been using mine since January 2008 with no problems. |
Eugenio Cheverie 19.06.2011 | I have no personal experience with this Behringer product.. but I can tell you that EVERY Behringer product I've bought has broken/needed fixing at one point or another. I wouldn't recommend the brand, but that's just me. |
Gavin Rachor 19.06.2011 | It seems to be a love it or hate it thing. Personally I love mine. |
Percy Keehan 19.06.2011 | is it anygood it looks like a cheap analog mixer that I can use as a midi controller. not the best, but nice |
Tatum Ansaldo 19.06.2011 | Had a look at the Jockey III at S |
Percy Keehan 19.06.2011 | I have been doing a bit of research on some controllers that I can use as external mixers. I got two numark NDX800s for free, and they were even better than i imagined. So whenever I dont want to use traktor and i want to mix cds I wanted to just mix externally. I am probably going to get myself a pair of 1200s too eventually. But for now I have been looking at these controllers. I saw two that were perfect for traktor for when all i want to do is bring the controller. The DN MC6000 and the Reloop Jockey 3. Im leaing toward the reloop jockey 3 because it isnt as cluttered as the DNMC6000. IM going to try it outon Wednesday at GuitarCenter just to get a feel for it. If anyone has any complaints about it please let me know. or ya can tell me how amazing it is.. |
Marva Cupid 18.06.2011 | Alright u might want to do bit of research on the vms 4 |
Percy Keehan 18.06.2011 | yeaaa. i made this thread before that plan |
Marva Cupid 18.06.2011 | But didn't u want it to be an external mixer as well, that's what u said in ur other thread, so u could CDJs with it and as a standalone . |
Marva Cupid 18.06.2011 | You could look into the vms4 by American audio I believe but I have never used it and hav heard abit of comPlaints about it. But I have heard slot more good than bad . |
Percy Keehan 18.06.2011 | I need a good midi controller, that is also cheap and well built, so I can use it with a pair of CDJs. I was believeing about either the Reloop Digital Jockey 2 Master Edition or the Reloop Jockey 3. I dont want to bring my CDJs to every gig so It also needs to work as a stand alone. Im believeing about either the reloops or the DN-MC600. Anyone else no any others that are maybe a bit cheaper. It doesnt have to be amazing or anything. |
Percy Keehan 18.06.2011 | Ok, so I've got a bit more spending cash- so instead of buying the mixtrack pro, I have thought of three more options which cost a little more but will definietly be worth it. Reloop Jockey 2 VCI100 MKII American Audio VMS4 the only concern i have is i have no idea if the american audio has touch sensitive jogs.. does anyone know? and which one would you choose? |
Kristofer Krauel 17.06.2011 | I've got a reloop and I love it. Never had a problem with it and the touch sensitive jogs can be used for much more than just scratching (which I never do). Using the jogs to trigger effects just feels sweet!!! I've also used a mix track a fair bit and I have to say that it's a cool little controller but the reloop gives you much more control options!!! |
Loralee Erban 17.06.2011 | not sure on the price difference of the three but the reloop has a lot more control and still contains touch sensitive jogs, which you will prob find yourself no using too much anyways, the amount of people i know that get touch sensitive believeing they will scratch then end up getting tt's because its a lot harder to scratch on jogs... just my opinion anyways, I was really sad my mixer didnt have touch sens jogs untill I had a go on some and realised I wouldnt have a use for them at all. |
Percy Keehan 17.06.2011 | Ok so I have lowered my options down to the final 3 Reloop Digital Jockey 2 Interface Edition Numark Mixtrack Pro Numark Mixdeck I really can't decide between them. I want to use traktor with them so that is one reason to get the reloop, but the mixtrack has such amazing jog wheels. The mixdeck is traktor ready with the jog wheels i want but its a little expensive and really has no dedicated FX section. Anyone have an opinion? |
