Nanotrak DIY midicontroller tutorial
Hello people,

I'm new of this community but I visit this fantastic web site almost everyday.

I want to public a small tutorial on how I built my DIY controller for Traktor PRO.
I started like a totaly newbie in October and I just finished in the half of may. It cost me around 600-700 euro due to many errors I made and to the shipping costs.
Everything was made thanks to www.ucapps.de and their excellent community . The controller is base on MIDIBOX64E,
it has 64 button, 40 potentiometer, 16 Encoders, 48 leds, 1 lcd.

The component and supplier are:
- pre-built PCB (1 CORE, 1 PCB CORE, 2 DOUTX4, 4 DINX4, 2 AINX4) from http://www.mikes-elektronikseite.de/midiseite.htm64
- Hammond enclosure from farnell 1414945
- The panel designed and ordered with front panel designer it costs me 112euro at www.schaeffer-ag.de
- The push button are from farnell 1132902 with green led, red led and no led
- The player pushbutton from suzo-happ
- the caps for button are from farnell 1132893 and 1132951
- The ALPS slider Potentiometer from farnell 1191712
- The ALPS rotary pot are from Digikey P3T9103-ND
- The ALPS encoders from Mouser 688-EC12E2420801 (I don't like them so much)
- The jog wheel are ALPS SRGP from farnell 1520823
- The knobs are farnell 892129 (slider) and neutrik rean from Mouser 550-77301
- The LCD from mouser 763-0216K1Z-NSW-BBW

Once I finished the structure I uploaded the last MIOS mios_update_v1_9f.zip using MIDI-OX, this is the Operative system.
After that I uploaded with MIOS-studio the midibox64 application from midibox64e_v2_2b.zip download section of ucapps.
I don't know anything about programming, the only code I need to change was for the encoder to change to detent mode.
Using sarge editor for MIDIBOX64E I assigned commads or note to every component and I connect DOUT (led) to MIDIEVENT to let Traktor send output signal and light the leds.
Now It's time to program the midimap with traktor pro but or this I believe I will take a lot of time since I will be accustomed to the new controller.
Now starts the satisfaction satisfaction satisfaction
Bye
