How to recycle parts of a motherboardless keyboard? Posted on: 04.03.2012 by Franklin Reuteler Hello... I would like to use rotarys, sliders, buttons, pads, keys... from my broken midi keyboard to make a controller for Ableton, ... The motherboard had issues and they don't have that model 's part anymore (Axiom49, 2007!), the other parts circuits are independant from each other as they connect to motherboard and in good state. My actual only clues for some assembly solutions took me to the world of Midi Box but as a newbie in electronics, except for music, I need help to figure some project. Thanks Victor | |

Lilliana Perris 05.03.2012 | Um, well you can remove the parts using a Solder Sucker. You then de-solder em and pull em off. As for re-using them in a DIY project, you will need to look this up in these threads and see what you can do with each. If a full DIY controller is what you are after, you will need a midi controller board like Arduino or something like that. |
