Machine Vs. MPC
Machine Vs. MPC Posted on: 23.03.2012 by Erich Vallabhaneni So i've been wanting to add something to my setup in the groove-box area of the musicverse, and am trying to decide between Machine and a MPC. I just want something that after i mix in a new song if its lacking i can add my own flair to it with some drum samples ect. What is your take on this, i would say money is no object but im not really wanting to spend thousands. Thanks | |

Leland Fazzi 30.03.2012 | I would also be interested in figuring out how to set up Maschine with Traktor |
Nancey Inderlied 29.03.2012 | Open them both up + virtual MIDI or a sacrosanct MIDI loop (how to confuse a sound engineer in one easy step). And you're done. |
Erich Vallabhaneni 27.03.2012 | just found this guys, might be helpful http://blog.dubspot.com/how-to-synch...orial-by-endo/ |
Joya Masi 27.03.2012 | ^^I would also be interested in figuring out how to set up Maschine with Traktor. Just made the switch from Serato. |
Lynetta Stanislav 26.03.2012 | psyDEK how u got your machine setup with traktor looking at doing this myself . |
Arnette Schmieg 26.03.2012 | nice to hear so much respect for NI MASCHINE... |
Erich Vallabhaneni 26.03.2012 | Thanks for the response man!! Im really feeling the NI device integration so I will end up getting a maschine. Do you run it and your controller on the same computer or do you run two computers, one with traktor and one one with the Maschine program? |
Estella Waber 24.03.2012 | I can wholeheartedly say if you get a Maschine it will completely change your workflow. I've had mine for about 2 years now and i'm still finding crazy ways of sampling my Traktor decks on the fly, cutting and chopping loops, mapping to the 4/4 orange pads, and then jamming out with my mix. Not to mention the entirely intuitive workflow it offers if you're at all interested in production. I have not personally used an MPC, but from what i see around the web the NI guys are really commited to unifying all their controllers (check out ENDO's maschine mappings and his "mothership" dj/remix setup) |
