Verlene Geevarghese 17.04.2012 | So what's going on with this thing? Any more info on a possible release date? Still waiting on an Itch upgrade? |
Cliff Lohman 21.03.2012 | I guess im mostly used to pio and a&h.. Well have to agree to disagree.. Still believe itch should offer an option for it and controllers should let u map a knob to it especially since the easter egg is already there. |
Verlene Geevarghese 21.03.2012 | A&H Analogue filters (other than the 22) have parameters. It's not a one knob job. Pioneer's 250 800 and 900 are the only mixers in their lines that I can believe of that have HP/LP in a single pot as well. My Zero mixers have filters with multiple parameter settings. Traktor controllers are of course going to have the filter pot, to offer 1:1 control of the software, so I'm inclined to disagree on the controller side of the argument. |

Verlene Geevarghese 21.03.2012 | A filter knob is nice, but redundant. Both Traktor and Itch come with filters as effects so why do you HAVE to have a dedicated filter control? It's a nice touch in Traktor, but hardly a requirement. |
Cliff Lohman 21.03.2012 | After looking closer at this, i cant believe that another itch controller comes out without a filter knob.. Same thing with twitch.. Am i missing something or is there some good reason why itch controllers dont have a dedicated filter knob? Itchs lack of mapping makes it even more frustrating.. |
Verlene Geevarghese 19.03.2012 | I wouldn't be the happiest guy in the world were I a VCI-400 owner. Don't offer it with any Serato product, if you were going to make a 'lesser featured' controller shortly after to pair with Itch. It just really doesn't make sense to close -400 users out of Itch. You can't cannibalize your market, because there WILL be users who want 4 itch decks, and would be willing to pay a little more for the -400 to get that (along with the ability to use the product with other software). If not they purchase your other Itch based controller. If it's Serato that has the problem (as I suspect they are) due to the fact that it's not an exclusively licensed Itch controller, then it shouldn't matter to Vestax to carry Intro with the -400 at all, since you offer a high end product for Serato as well. |
Johnetta Olewine 19.03.2012 | very interested |
Verlene Geevarghese 19.03.2012 | http://www.agiprodj.com/vestax-vci-380.html There's the answer on the street price and predicted sell date. |
Cliff Lohman 19.03.2012 | Wasnt too wow'ed on first glance bUt after looking at this further its pretty dope.. Love the light on jogs assuming they are accurate.. And the padone pads are really nice.. But whst can u do with velocity on hotcues and slicer etc? I guess if u map to a drum bank of some sort, its nice. May sell twitch and grab this if reviews are good.. |
Verlene Geevarghese 18.03.2012 | Perfect. Do want. Really appreciate the standalone mixer functionality. The size looks just right, and having at least some form of effects control on the controller itself without needing a separate add-on is a great step especially considering the price. Although looks shouldn't be high up on the list of reasons why you buy gear, it doesn't hurt that this girl is easy on the eyes as well. I'm excited to see one of these in person, and am very glad I 'only' paid 470 bucks for my Xone: DX in light of these recent developments |
Lourie Lajiness 18.03.2012 | Yeah im sure is will be listed everywhere for $799-$899 no one pays retail on the internet. |
Johnetta Olewine 18.03.2012 | i really dont have that much of an issue with the price either TBH. A decent quality vestax scratch mixer with a high pass filter goes fro around $500 and a 2 channel itch controller with a decent soundcard goes for between $400 to $500. No one will actually pay $999 either. |
Dorie Scelzo 18.03.2012 | Holy crap. An all-in-one I don't hate. What is the world coming to? There are other things I want first, but I could see picking one up eventually. |

Im sure it just has to grow on me). But if I used itch this is something i would defiantly like to buy. I may just get one to play around with and learn itch(Ive been wanting an itch controller for a wile and was probably going to pick up a DX, but not anymore!). I love all the features on this. |
Azucena Minks 17.03.2012 | wonder if it will be usb powered? I saw a power supply plug listed and there is a input spot for it on the rear of the controller, but hopefully that is for when it is being used as a stand-alone mixer.. Thoughts anyone? Its just a preference of mine to have controllers bus powered |
Ressie Losiewicz 17.03.2012 | possibly the best looking controller I've seen in a long time. |
Leeanna Ayla 17.03.2012 | Merged three threads |
Lindy Jonker 17.03.2012 | Gizmo's on the ball. Check out deets on the new kit, and the new site: http://djworx.com/vestax-vci-380-the...-errr-pads-on/ |
Shala Busso 17.03.2012 | teaser video i saw on facebook...not sure if posted already |
Jonathan Chiuchiolo 17.03.2012 | turntables with dvs is even more suited to scratching... this is aimed squarly at adhd kids that kill music with too many effects aka brosteppaz This also wouldn't be that suitable for traktor as there are no knobs for tweeking so I guess the vfx is still relevant, just not the the vci 300, would be cool if they came out with a vfx box with four big knobs and buttons, an effect selector and 2 hard shifts for effect bank selection, but i guess an lpd would do the trick in the interim... shame about the price, because of that I believe I will still go for the VCI-400 as it has a wider range of controls, and with experiance of aftertouch controlling effect parameters it is extremely difficult to do anything with precision, it usually either less than 25% or 100% pressure and hard to get in between... knobs are way better IMO |
Lakesha Clyde 17.03.2012 | Actually, it will depends on what you need. If you are a scratch DJ, I believe VCI-380 will be more suitable just like VCI300. VCI-400 is more like for house music DJ. |
Karena Halfin 17.03.2012 | looks sick. I just bought a 400 and already want this.I guess I'll just wait until they release the Itch version for the 400 |
Masako Barcalow 17.03.2012 | And to believe I was looking at the VMS4...I feel ashamed... |
Kristin Tesfamichael 17.03.2012 | damn I hate how every month or so a new controller comes around and makes me go oooohh ahhh. i managed to resist the f1 and k2 and the vci 400 after trading my s4, but this... is just too damn sick! seriously leds in the jogs, twitch style slicing, a stand alone mixer, and that vestax build quality all inside this little thing. almost makes you wonder where this whole controller game will be 1-2 years from now. |
Tillie Sliman 17.03.2012 | Sick as fuck. Can't believe something is already out to make the 400 look dated. |
Julissa Serrone 17.03.2012 | http://www.vestax.com/v/products/det...89&parent_id=8 |
Julissa Serrone 17.03.2012 | ...and booth out |
Vernie Kuam 17.03.2012 | And it controls the SAMPLER!! Finally! Could you imagine this a week ago -- An Itch controller the size of a VCI-300 with slicer, sample control, 8 hot cues, on-mixer effects, and the beautiful VCI-300 jogs? ohhh am I in gear lust right now |
Johnetta Olewine 17.03.2012 | standalone mixer is a stroke of genius |
Jacqulyn Erbst 17.03.2012 | woowwww my prayers have been fullfilled!!! i have been asking around about the twitch and vci 300 combo if there is one but i did not see this one coming! this is by far going to be the best serato itch controller hands down! |
Romelia Stankard 17.03.2012 | Looks cool, props to them for not feeling the need to hop on the 4 channel thing with this one |
Ruiz dB 17.03.2012 | This is really disappointing... I like the VCI-400... but as I have argued in other threads, the jog wheels aren't up to par when used with Traktor... I just forked over $$$ for a VCI-400 hoping that it would be a controller that is on par with the VCI-300 and ITCH... But it doesn't seem to integrate as tightly with other applications as the S4 or the NS6 (with ITCH)... Anyone wanna buy a VCI-400 used only 3 times? I just bought it! lol |
