So the completely flat Ipad is absolutely fine, but the completely flat Surface isn't?
Don't get me wrong, I don't give a fuck about tablets but you fanbois sure are funny. I don't have a tablet, and have not seen the need for one - this may open up new doors or close them forever, depending how well it handles day to day tasks. and only time will tell if this will change the laptop/tablet market. The Fact is - we don't have any real-world facts yet to base anything technical on (like how well traktor or serato will run, or IF they will even run).
Sorry, I meant outside of Apple a hd is just an hd. No one else apart from Apple does this. God they're bastards aren't they?

Anti-climax much. Oh and FYI - a hard drive is not just a hard drive...An iMac's hard drive for example has Apple embedded code in the firmware which prevents the fans running properly - replacing with a generic drive causes the fans to spin up to high continually. Just google it .. (you seem to know how) or click here |

Ricki Markman 20.06.2012 | The Pro model has an i5 and just runs a regular desktop OS. Also said the Pro model will cost around the same as ultrabooks, so it's safe to assume it'll be 750-1000. |
Jonathan Chiuchiolo 20.06.2012 | If it could run any windows program the hardware would cost $1500 - $2000, Imo it will follow apples closed app store model to generate money, although with the power of an i7 4gb ram there is nothing stopping the big boys from making their programs operate on it. |
Ricki Markman 20.06.2012 | It's almost too ideal to be this close to happening haha This is seriously THE device I've been waiting for. Beyond being able to produce in Ableton out of the house, just experimenting with my softsynths anywhere will be invaluable (especially if I can tweak all the knobs through touch!!!) |

Cristian Carmona 20.06.2012 | what I was refering to is, when I walk into a brick and motar ie Best Buy, Target or game store. If I want to purchase a XBOX HD, the only ones they sell are the MS branded ones. I know that you can stick just about any HD but MS doesnt like that and you run the RISK of getting ur xbox getting banned from Live. Heck this is coming from someone that owns 3 Xboxs & 2 PS3s. If I want to upgrade my PS3 HD, I just pop a sata HD in it and call it a day. My point was that the majority of the accessories with that MS tablet are going to be MS branded. And the 3rd party stuff is going to be 2nd or 3rd tier quality. Look at the after market remotes for the xbox. Im not a apple or MS fanboi, Im a tech fanboi of things that work and Im willing to try any software and hardware out. Back on topic, Ill be sure to goto the MS store to give this bad boy a run. if it works great. I might just pick it up to run SSL for me. |

No, you read the instructions. Goes back to what I was saying about not listening to fanboys about technical stuff. You lot are hilarious, I especially loved the bloke a couple of pages back saying that it was rubbish because it was flat. Stop spreading FUD about platforms you've decided you don't like. |

Cristian Carmona 19.06.2012 | Its dope to hear that it has a usb port and a i-series processor & ARM. , but looks like a iPad 1st Gen with the case being used as a stand & a plastic keyboard. If its anything like MS previous hardware/software combos. Its going to be more locked down than a iPad. Look at a XBOX, only works with MS BT headseat & MS hard drive. Only time will tell, and see what this little beast of capable of. I would say to keep a close eye on GEEKBENCH to see if any performance stats pop up. |
