Xone DB4!

finally arrived in BKK after being stuck in paris for the past 4 days.

just finished a new traktor map and ready for our gig with montonn jira and joni anwar toevening . it came as a surprise that i was able to map all the main functions i use from my 4D/1D+2D tsi's to the 6 buttons in the fx section and the rotary encoder. all the led's are midi mappable too, so feedback of different states is very easy.

the addition of ms delay mode is incredible, kill send is now a mode option, fx are way beyond everything else. audio demos and templates coming soon!

amazing!

Oh ma god, I mean Ohhh my god...... seriously..... oh no you didnt?

How would you have it Fadersbragger, no doubt if I hadnt searched looking for an existing DB4 thread, someone like your self (cynical so and so) would have screamed rape, due to me creating a new thread.... something like "seriously, another DB4 thread"

youd make an awsome cop, really......

I know you don't want to be handing out certification to every mixer (you'd never sell any sound cards), but having your name on one of the most hyped mixers of the moment has got to be a good thing.

Maybe they had a deal with pio when they certified the nexus that they wouldn't give it to A&H.
Who knows mate maybe,
if only the db4 was a bit cheaper, I believe they were a bit high on the pricing,
if they priced it at 1500 I reckon they would sell a lot more, I would be happy
paying that kind of price too

What's the difference between cracked software and cracked drivers, really you're splitting hairs.

I don't own a DB4

I own TSP1 & TSP2, two X1s and 1 F1

If I owned a DB4 I have no problem using it

Mix any luck getting the Db4 tsi's finished up.

the point is to not used cracked software, and find an alternative solution to problems that aren't going to be fixed by the companies on their own.
Rochel Gleese
25.06.2012
I don't thin you have to if you use the cacked software. What's the point?

4D driver emulation for the DB4. i'm sure someone with skillz can do that, no?

Exactly start a new thread it would of got shut down or people would say search.

I'd rather have everything in one place there's already two big threads for DB4

Reverse engineering is illegal, if I remember it right from the contract.

If you own a full version of Scratch than I don't see any problem with it.

Ni obviously would hate that it exists

This hack imo isn't anything new. A few years back there was also a cracked version of traktor available which could use any soundcard for DVS.
Altrough, it would be interesting to know if it's legal. In a imaginery world you could anything you want with your software if you don't leak the hack, let's see how it's in real world.

NI simply didn't award db4 the certificate because they won't shift enough
units in the first years or so
Tatum Ansaldo

That's the only thing I don't like about the DB4. Maybe it'll be sorted at some point, A&H and NI have worked together before.

No i'm not

Point taken and after playing around with the looper i believe your right !

I'm going to upgrade my 4-channel mixer soon. Mixers currently on my short list include the following:

DB4
Ecler Evo5
Mackie d4 pro
Denon X1600/X1700
4D

The upper end of that list after A+H is the Ecler, which comes in at about 2/3 the price of the DB4. Is the DB4 really worth a thousand dollars more than the Ecler?

(By the way of the above the DB4 is the only one that's not TSP certified. This isn't a deal breaker for me but it's damned annoying. But I also believe the DB4 will be the best to continue to enjoy my vinyl collection with when I don't feel like spinning with my computer open).

As for ditching the looper, I can
that if you were only running TP, then you really dont need it, but I still use CDJ's, so it helps bridge the gap for guys that still use CDJ's and maybe felt like they were falling behind as far as functionality is concerned

the looper function, you cant fault it.... each channel has its own beat detection unit.... its perfect!

Just got my DB4 this morning... Seriously, this thing is everything you expect and more. Its effects are so more natural and have a subtlety about them that I can only describe as beautiful. the input matrix coupled with looper is just magic... Already running a few of my favourite tracks, and you can manipulate them without it sounding too course, its orgasamatronic!!!

This is defiantly not a mixer that you could just step up to and play confidently unless you were disciplined enough just to stick to basic functions. Ive spent a couple of hours with it and it absolutely destroys anything ive played on before. DJM 800, DJM 2000 even the SVM 1000... this really is more similar to an instrument.

IM BLOWN AWAY!!!

Would love to get my hands on one,
It's a shame that NI won't make it traktor certified, all because of the small amount of db4's that will be sold in the next year or so.

That doesn't matter any how as it's still a kick ass mixer
