Reply to DJ setup choices

Hey guys, i'm mainly producing with ableton live right now, but i wanna get into live djing. But i don't know which would suit me best - a dj controller (been looking at the twitch/djc.4) or a launchpad with like a nocturn (or something similar). The problem is, no matter which of the two i go for, i won't be able to learn how to use the cdjs if i wanna start playing in clubs - and i don't know if the promoters would like someone playing a set with launchpad setup. How do i proceed? Please advise D:
