Headphones... Any recommendations... So confused!

Well, my trusty Technics RP-DJ1200s are coming to the end of their happy little lives, and so the time comes to buy some new ones.

I've read all tons of reviews on here, and elsewhere on-line, and now im just even more confused!

I know one of the replies I would get would be "Go and listen to some, and find some you like" etc etc, but I don't want to spend hours choosing new cans by trying and listening to heaps of pairs and just saying "No" to countless pairs...

So, my short list at the moment is as follows:

Pioneer HDJ 2000
Senheisser HD380 Pro
KRK KNS8400 and
A&H Xone XD 53

This is subject to change depending of the responses I get here.

Not actually thought about buying another pair of technics, had these ones for so long that I have forgotten what they used to sound like when they were new, and I guess my ears are more experienced now as well, so will be listening to/for different things. Like I say, had these ones for song long that they just sound 'dead' and aren't really helping my mixes.

Go HDJ2000 or go home.

No really. I got the HD25-II, HDJ2000, tried the RP-DJ1200 and that other smaller one, tried the V-Moda's.. I keep going back to that lovely memory-foam having, awesome sounding, comforable HDJ2000. Probably because I'm in love with it.

AKG K181DJ served me well for the last 3-4 years but they were a little loose on my tiny head. Just got some TMA-1s and couldn't be happier with them. Sound great and they pass the all important swig test - when wearing headphones on both ears, tilt your head back as you take a drink, if they stay on your head then they pass the test!

Love my AIAIAI's great for DJ'ing and listening. Loud enough for dodgy mixers and for laptops/ipods etc

Like sunglasses, It's a rather personal choice, besides a cool design it has to fit your head and ears well for hours, provide enough isolation and for some it has to suit their appeal too.
That's why I love my custom-in-ears over anything.

I would choose Xone and the Pio over KRK and the Sennheiser HD380 Pro.
Look in the 150 quid range and you have a set of cans that could last a life time.
I used Sennheiser Hd25's for centuries now, they're very lightweight and almost indestructible.
It's a classic, so it won't get outdated soon, unlike some other products.

I got HD-25's: I was also believeing between the pioneer 2000's + V-moda

I searched HiFi-sites / DJ sites.. => 75%+ says HD25's

theyve been on the market for at least 18years ! (i believe 20+) and still they are considered one of the best.

+you can use them for studio monitoring too

----------
but if you're believeing design Pioneer <-> V-moda: take vmoda because they're really special (a friend of me has one)

This Question has been literally asked a million times.

1. Use Search
2. Try Headphones in a shop
3. Don't listen on other peoples opinions on which headphone is better listen to the headphones everyones ears process sound differently and everyones head size is different.

Senns HD-25s or Aiaiai TMA-1s. Both really good headphones,
And I personally though the TMA's sounded like crap and were uncomfortable as hell

The ONLY thing I would take away from a review is build quality.

Senns HD-25s or Aiaiai TMA-1s. Both really good headphones, but they fit differently, so try em out. I love my TMAs though.
