Beginners controller, 500$ budget.
Beginners controller, 500$ budget. Posted on: 08.04.2013 by Riley Kuruvilla I have a budget of around 500$. Would like to buy 1st controller. Thought about mixtrack pro 2. But its quite small ( i have big hands ) and might be useless after few weeks because of lack features. I have good motivation to get in dj business, so i wont let it go after few tries. Thats why i believe about numark N4. Its bigger, and will be longer up to date, to train more skills. Any advices ? | |
Riley Kuruvilla 24.04.2013 | I wont buy anything used. Id better like to spend some more money to have it new and guaranteed. I did some mixes in VDJ, but its not a problem for me to learn about traktor or serato. When i looked through more controllers, those wich i liked were on Serato, and i also took a look on program itself. So id like cotroller mapped for Serato or VDJ. P.S. Sorry for my English, im not native. |
Antonio Eipper 23.04.2013 | I would suggest buying something used. Also, I'm sure this is obvious, but just in case, guitar center and other stores have everything set up for customers to test. It'll give you a chance to see if you have enough room for your fingers. |
Hazel Bajraktarevic 23.04.2013 | I have both a Used N4 and new MC3000 for way under $500. PM Me. |
Wilson Durrum 23.04.2013 | If you have big hands/fingers I would stay away from the Denon MC3000. While it is a nice controller it is really smashed together and you will have a hard time turning the EQ knobs. I had this issue when I looked at one in Guitar Center. |
Klara Kinnebrew 23.04.2013 | I guess it all depends on what program you are using to dj with. From all the controllers I have tried so far, I would go with an apc40 if you are using ableton and a vestax vci-400 if you are using traktor. |
Vi Melroy 23.04.2013 | For A to B DJ I would go for an S2 or an audio interface + X1 &/or F1. |
Dedra Kreinbring 23.04.2013 | I would look at reloop TM4 if you fancy Serato, (or Traktor) or S2 if you fancy Traktor |
Janyce Henningson 23.04.2013 | I like the look of the Reloop Terminal Mix 4 myself but never tried it - got good reviews though so worth checking out. |
Danuta Keyton 22.04.2013 | kontrol s2? |
Gaynell Rydberg 22.04.2013 | If you're just getting started, I don't believe you'll get bored of the Mixtrack. THat said, I believe you should spend as much moeny as possible if you're 100% sure you want to get into DJing. I recommend against the Akai APC40 since not everyone likes Ableton DJing (and Traktor DJing on an APC40 sucks). I have the Denon MC3000 and love it. |
Petra Pelts 22.04.2013 | If you're into a lot of effects and possibilities, I recommend a Akai APC40, with the saved money you can get a pretty decent soundcard (assuming you don't have one already). |
Sherell Hubiak 14.04.2013 | 1....American audio vms4.1 all metal construction and good soundcard. 2.....Denon mc3000. |
