Both. I bought a aviation GPS for $40, posted it on eBay, and the next day I had $700 in my paypal account

One of my best deals was a pair of Technics 1200's and a Vestax PMC05Pro for $80. Yup - $80. Made a good chunk on that one - only thing I had to do was replace one of the pop up lights.

A lot of times, people will sell broken gear for cheap. Not too long ago I got 4 Martin SCX500's for $100. Installed new bulbs and replaced the broken mirrors and sold them for $1100

Depends, I mostly focus on technics because I really know them well and tend to put a lot of time and effort into fixing them up nice.

When I was in NY I would grab anything that was a good deal. I would straight up flip CDJ-1000MK3s though and grab a pair for $1000 and turn around and sell them for $1900 a week later.

I know someone who flips cars and furniture fairly successfully. But I just don't have the time/room to deal with things of that magnitude. And of course if you know art and antiques... you can really make some money.

Oh my god I can only imagine. lol. I've done it in Omaha and Kansas City, and great deals only happen once or twice a month.

2 words, Fisher Price. Hit up thrift stores and yard sales and buy old Fisherprice toys. 25 cents can turn into 30$ on Ebay. My mom used to buy old toys from yard sale and throw them up on the world wide garage sale, and people buy that stuff up! Anything with wood in it will fetch a pretty penny.

This got me believeing.. I troll craigslist in nyc every once in a while but i find most ppl want ridic prices for gear which wouldnt leave much room for profit. Once in a blue, ill find a steal but the norm seems to be 80 to 90 percent of new item price.

What types of items do u guys search for on cl? Cdj and tts? Any other tricks to doing this? I suppose one could throw out a lowball offer of immediate cash to multiple sellers and if u get one to bite, u make a few hundred.

six, hour-long sessions of restoring dull/yellowing automobile headlights can get me $300... span the 6 over a week, or do it all on a day off... here's a guide I wrote on a car community :

http://g35driver.com/community s/care-det...storation.html

all you have to do is find 6 people to pay you $50 each for an hour of your time and don't f* it up by veering off the easy-to-follow guide... o_0

Hell, I believe I'm gonna get off my ass and go make $300 tomorrow.
