Apart from Nani and the aforementioned Ronaldo, the Portuguese team are not special (a bit like England I'll openly admit!). He also opens himself up for ridicule when he fails because of his play acting, diving, lack of respect and general unsportingly manner towards his opposition - he's like a spoilt child. If you dish it out Christiano, you've got to be prepared to take it just as hard! Like most diving, play acting footballers, I would seriously pay good money to see them play in a Rugby Union International match; as a result no footballer would ever, ever, ever, ever, dive and roll about on the pitch again as if it was his last breath of life.... P.S. Take a look at Messi, incredibly gifted and doesn't act like stroppy child ala Ronaldo, Messi quietly goes about his footballing business with class and good conduct, unlike Ronaldo. |
Dede Gualberto 01.07.2012 | Oh well.. So it ends, good game though. Cant lie I wanted Germany to win this instead of Spain. But they are truly on fire right now. |
Somer Vanstraten 01.07.2012 | Agree Prandelli made 2 mistake, chiellini, that was having problem, and the substitution montolivo motta. Anyway Italy was too tired for playing against Spain, there was no match. Anyway, Portugal deserved the final and Spain instead win the tournament, soccer. |
Debby Ramshur 01.07.2012 | Motta injury was a bit unlucky, but Motta for Montolivo seemed like a weird substitution anyway, especially if you are 2:0 down? Congrats to Spain though! Otra vez la furia roja. |

Alfred Takala 29.06.2012 | Italy 2 - 1 Spain. Spain have been piss poor against portugal and even France. Also in the opening match Spain HELD the Italians to a draw (Italy was leading) plus I believe the Italians have the momentum going forward into this match. If Balotelli and Cassano can connect and Pirlo can marshal the midfield Its definetly a possibility. |

Rey Holubar 29.06.2012 | Well. I'd say the German loss was a coaching disaster. The defense made a couple of bad mistakes too. Overall, Germany got beaten. There was too much talk about them going to the finals. I believe their minds were already there, especially the coach's. The second half looked much better and that is the team Germany needs to set its future on for the World Championship. Oh well. Looking forward to the World Championship 2014. And although Italy beat Germany, I want to see them beat Spain for sure. Go Italy. scamo |
Alfred Takala 28.06.2012 | I wonder how many of you americans actually watch football? i mean real football not 200 pound ogres running at each other? And even if Italy was an underdog...which was wrong to begin with. You shouldnt have been stupid enough to pick Italy over germany. Like im howling on who stupid some people can be. |

Somer Vanstraten 28.06.2012 | The penalty was a gift!! Chest and after that arm, so, no penalty. The right result should be 3-0 Italy missed some incredible goals! |
Somer Vanstraten 28.06.2012 | And yes, is SuperMario |

I must admit though that it takes balls of steel to shoot the same penalty after failing so miserably. |

Lashawn Maycock 27.06.2012 | Awful Semi-final, but a great result in the end. Got to be Germany to win on seeing toevening
s game (unless Italy cause an upset of course). Boo hoo Ronaldo, the glory hunter, failed, didn't even get the chance to take his penalty! |
Rey Holubar 28.06.2012 | I say ze Germans vill vin in regular time 3-1. scamo |
Jona Slon 27.06.2012 | This game will be impossible to pick. I'm betting 0-0 until extra time or pens |
Somer Vanstraten 25.06.2012 | If Balotelli will play SuperMario, no prob to make some goals!! Italy atm has this problem, great and a lot of chances, and no goals. After the great match with Spain, we can play (not win, but play at a good level) with everyone |
Debby Ramshur 25.06.2012 | What everybody forgets about Italy is that they only won one game if you don't count the penalty shoot-out and that was against Ireland who already were eliminated. And in all their four matches they only managed to score a one goal that was not the consequence of a free kick or a corner. Playing 3-5-2 against spain was impressive tactically but I don't see them playing the same way against Germany because Germany in contrast to Spain can be dangerous over the wings. And England just played really poor. I don't know how Roy Hodgson could miss the dangers of leaving a player with the qualities of Andrea Pirlo completely unmarked. Wayne Rooney seemed utterly unmotivated to help his side defensively. |
Celestine Porebski 25.06.2012 | I believe the Italians will make it. (That's partly due to them playing quite strongly so far - especially against Spain and England, but also due to my hope of them beating Germany, I've always hated the national team and the annoying patriot scum [nowadays with their little flags on their cars and all that bullshit]) |

Lashawn Maycock 25.06.2012 | I believe I'm actually relieved England are out after last evening 's performance, we allowed Pirlo to dictate the midfield. We would have got a beating by Germany had England fluked their way through the pens. |
