Reply to Motion Sweeps/Energy Building Sounds

so while producing, we all (or most at least) find the need to build energy at certain points in the arrangement. a method commonly used that i've been wanting to utilize is a track that goes from a lower frequency to a higher one, usually layered under a progressively faster drum build up or the like. problem is, i can't seem to find any synths that have this sound, and don't know how to synthesize one myself. can anyone give me any insight as to where to find any of these, or how to make one myself?
