A big 'public' thank you to Ean!
A big 'public' thank you to Ean! Posted on: 18.12.2008 by Karl Forde Hello DJTT Community,At the risk of sounding like a sycophant, I thought I'd start a thread to allow myself and other DJTechTools users to say thanks to Ean and his team. You have literally transformed DJing for me. I've been mixing now for about 17 years - turntables mostly - and (stupidly) thought that I'd learned and experienced all there was to know about DJing. I'm not saying I thought I was the greatest - far from it - but I'd pretty much understood everything I could do and knew all the limitations. DJing became predictable and boring at times. The VCI-100 SE has literally blasted open the doors of my perception and I'm enjoying DJing on a whole new level. Yesterday I played with Traktor Pro with Ean's new 1.3.2 TSI and smacked the club up. I was so excitied by using the effects and tactile controlling that I had an amazing time and so did the punters. The club I played at uses promoters from London's biggest club promotions company. That company's MD happened to be passing by the club last evening and seemed so impressed with what I was doing, he asked me to call him today to discuss 'things'. Potentially, that means a lot more (and hopefully better paid) work. I'm certain this would never have happened if I was on turntables or using Traktor without the whole SE mods. So again, thank you Ean, your team and the entire DJTT community. Your hard work and altruistic nature is enriching the lives of many DJ's (even washed up, jaded feckers like myself ) This is something great to be a part of. Please share with us any success stories you've had as a result of Ean's work and this site in general | |
Gregorio Mylar 23.12.2008 | thank you Ean! for being so generous! I've learned so much from you and your team! thank you! |
Karl Forde 23.12.2008 | Ean, I don't know where you find the time to keep writing these articles man. Modifiers were a 'no go zone' for me. Until reading your article. I'm gonna modify everything. Wonder if they work on girlfriends who moan because I'm mixing instead of painting the living room??? |
Tianna Laguerre 20.12.2008 | i am new, i was born digital... and from the start i was DJing kinda lazy style... not since i found this blog... i nailed my left hand to laptop and traktor is pretty much all i do these days (going to school twice a week is a sweet life). i have to thank you all... i can see i'm getting better every day. |
anthony young 20.12.2008 | I don't believe any of us could give enough thanks to Ean or eachother for the support, knowledge and talent expressed on this site. DJTT is a godsend and Ean is an absolute inspiration to all of us. I am on the site every day and i check the site more often than email to see if there is a new article up or just another interesting or informative post in the community
that i can read and/or assist with. Thank you Ean Golden and DJ TechTools |
Karl Forde 19.12.2008 | See what a difference you're making Ean? You are greatly appreciated and respected. Remember that! |
Latrice Atcherson 20.12.2008 | I've learned so much in the past weeks from your YouTube vids and this community
/blog, it's insane! Thanks a bunch! Have a great 2009! |
Laurence Pettett 19.12.2008 | Each day i'm on this site - getting new inspiration! i love reading articles, watching videos - than start traktor and do some work! ean golden is a genius |
Michaela Speech 18.12.2008 | I've only been on this site for several days but I love it ....every one has been so help full with there advice and what not .....thanks every one !! and off course thanks Ean and the team too !! |
gilbert hatem 18.12.2008 | Hey the shirt says it all. When I go out to a big party or club I wear the DJTT shirt. Lets everyone know where the future is (indicated by the shininess). Ean, you can probably make your own archaic club know. We will listen. |
18.12.2008 | The site is essentially GEEK BRAIN FOOD for us digital dj junkie types. Thanks for everybody's fixins and contributions. be back for seconds, thirds, 100ths... |
Xavier Emanuels 18.12.2008 | DJTT has probably been the huge influence on my life in the past year and i am really proud to be part of this movement. If if wasnt for Ean i wouldnt have started doing this crazy stuff to begin with and would still be producing - So thanks Ean |
Hertha Fang 18.12.2008 | This site has helped me learn so many concepts that are not intuitive from merely learning to use traktor alone, particularly fader fx theory, cue juggling, looping, drumroll, etc. It is definitely my #1 visited site, although I wish I could get some damn opinions on my hercules rmx vs. total control thread lol. Seriously though Ean, without the info on here I can't imagine how much further behind I would be where I am now. |
Cristian Carmona 18.12.2008 | Thanks Ean for bring the VCI-100 SE into my world. I almost gave up on djing before I bought my first vci. But once I found this site, it got me back on my feet. The SE has written a new chapter in my djing life. I spend more time on this site than on my PS3 playing Call of Duty 4. I hope this site pays off and brings more light to the DJ TECH TOOLS site & DJ-ing community. |

All sorts of developments being tied back to him and this community that he started. Ean and the rest of this community have completely changed the way I DJ and my crowds love it! |
DJ Pablo 18.12.2008 | I'm playing out now for about 25 years, 22 years vinyl and 3 years CD/vinyl. In the early days I always missed a 3rd turntable and later on not every club had/has 3 cdj. Always carrying loads of vinyl, or cd's.I went tired of It! I was always looking for an replacement and as soon as the opportunity came to compare some DJ-Friendly midi controllers and red the interesting articles and reviews on DJTT my choice was easily made...VCI-100. I believe this is the future of djing... So many possibilities.. EAN thank you for all the efforts you made/make, Without you we would be lost... RESPECT |
Random X 18.12.2008 | I hate you all! No wait... That's the wrong speech. Nah guys. Gotta be honest, this is one of the warmest communities I have ever witnessed. Glad to be part of it. Thanks Ean for setting it up, thanks guys for keeping it alive and expanding like it is! Let's keep on pushing things forward! (And DvlsAdvct, you acting all cute again! <3 ) |
Matt Kane 18.12.2008 | same here...tech tools is the first site i visit when i wake up, come home from work and the last one i close before going to bed. ean, this site and all the guys here inspired me so much than i |
Felix Harrer 18.12.2008 | Well this site + team and Ean, actually the whole djtt community, are such a great helping hand in the some times difficult world of digital dj, thumbs up |
Roberto Viccione 19.12.2008 | This place has become my second home on the internet. I come here before MySpace, Livejournal, the news, my job's e-mail... I refer to the people I've met here (Desolous, Bento, Tekki, etc. etc.) as friends, not "that guys on the internet". My mindset on DJing, technique and skill, has changed forever. So yeah, Ean, damn you for making this shit cool. My bank account reflects your awesome... the smaller the number the more I blame you. |
19.12.2008 | Thanks guys, i really appreciate that. This week has been particularly rough with regular mental break downs imminently threatening. Feedback like this really picks up my spirits and helps make the 9-12 days worth while. |
Tommi Lahtinen 18.12.2008 | No success story yet (mainly due to my personal and work life getting in the way) but I would love to thank Ean for completely inspiring me with the Digital DJing concept. His videos and tutorials have generated so much excitement and motivation in me, to start DJing again after taking a long break from the scene. He has breathed new life into DJing!! |
