can anyone tell me how to turn off those FX presets?
i can't turn off my fx presets 4. and it locked my fx deck so that every time i press the fx type the delay automatic turns on.
im completely new to dj and vci. hope anyone can help me out??

That is another feature that doesn't seem to be working for me either. When I press it, almost all the LEDs on my controller start freaking out and do not function until I turn off Sample mode.

11.02.2010		it was fine in 2.5.i agree about the l.e.d's aswell and hope the the rest can be fixed on the weekend with this live q&a session happening.(although 8pm gmt on a saturday not being a favourable time for music lovers and djs to be sat at the pc trying to solve problems)ill leave this in americas capable hands

is everyones sampler working?

Yeah same here. I'm not to bothered about the led bugs just now as you get a visual representation on Traktor with regards to effects, loops, etc anyway. The jog wheel problem definately needs sorted though. The wheels themselves actaully feel nicer to scratch on than I thought they'd be. Chirps, scribbles and flares work fine but as soon as you release the jog wheel to do a cut and then try to drag it back it's just not holding on to the sample. I hope this is just a glitch in the mapping and not a firmware issue. From what I've read on other threads this wasn't an issue with mapping 2.5, am I correct in believeing this?

i have a mac and the biggest issue for me is the jog wheels responsiveness. ie you can press the jog wheel and start to scratch but then it will drop out even though your hand is still on the platter. the red lights are on showing that the vci is registering the hand on the platter but the software stops responding.

1. Juggle 1-4 will cause the controller to quit responding. I have to select Juggle 5-8 in order to regain control, work around is to just use 5-8 which doesn't cause this issue.

Actually I still have a little problem. I have done the following:

- Installed bomes
- Installed LoopBe1
- In Trakator Pro I have selected the vci as midi-in and LoopBe1 as midi-out
- In Bomes I have selected LoopBe1 as midi-in and vci as midi-out
- In Bomes under MIDI Router I have routed LoopBe (left) to the vci (right)

Is this correct because even though the led feedback works now, I keep getting Loopbe1 MIDI feedback shortcut errors.

Is this possibly what is happening or are you sure that this is all occurring while your finger is on the inner black wheel?

I noticed this too. I had the same problem which I also first fixed by changing the input mode to Direct but later I re-imported the tsi file and I changed the midi in/out ports of the mapping to "VCI-100" instead of "All ports" and that fixed it without needing to change the controls' input modes.

Is this the right setting to go for the ports ?

Something goes wrong over here.
I did recently upgrade the firmware of my VCI-100 to 1.3, moved from Traktor 3 to Traktor Pro 1.2.4. and imported the 3_1_2 mappings. So far so good. I have the layout printed next to me.

I discovered 2 issues (probably more to come) :

1/ Loading a track in A & B works fine, but the "Play" buttons don't work.
When I press "Play" the led lits up very shortly, the song plays for a split second, the 'Master' button on the screen lits up as well for a split second and then it stops.

I checked the mappings and can get it playing when switching ch1.Note.F3 to 'direct'. (but I can't switch it off then...) looks like the 'toggle' doesn't really work.

SOLVED thanks to underneath tip dros. (setting ports in/out to vci)

2/ Pressing randomly some buttons I figured out : when I press the Juggle 5-8 button : both decks are playing thru my master (I have monitor on channel 3&4 and master on channel 1&2.) but onscreen Deck A has the only the Cue lit up and Deck B the Play.
Really confused over here....

SOLVED ... I never experienced above anymore, maybe related to 1/

Shift + Play = Re-Play

I believe this is what you are describing, but maybe not.

09.02.2010		I'm really confused how the lights on the FX presets work. The top three lights come on independently when you assign an effect to either deck, and the bottom light is always lit.

Any insight would be apprechiated

It is a firmware issue. Notice if you start up in FW 1.2 the button's behavior is identical to the "B/D" button. It was developed for a specific feature on one of Ean's old mappings. You can totally work around it with some careful led and command programming though.

08.02.2010		I was trying to replicate the aerodynamic juggle in this map but I'm not sure the juggle mode works properly, just sounds a mess.

08.02.2010		the pitch bend on the outer edge of the jogs not working properly and the progressive bend isn't working at all.
