And then tweets about it. https://mobile.twitter.com/ruskooffi...96653760753664 Sorry if the twitter link doesnt post correctly. I'm doing this on my iphone. Just saw this and wanted to put this guy on blast. I'm from Texas and kinda took offense to it. I've been to Stereo Live, where he played, and the sound system there kicks ass. Don't know what exactly set him off but as I read somewhere earlier, maybe he woke up and realized that he was playing Dubstep. Lol | |
Basil Forshee 28.05.2012 | When I believe of Dubstep nowadays, I don't have anything positive to say. It's all becoming too mainstream for me. Few UK'ers are bringing out the good stuff, like labels Hessle Audio, Swamp81 etc. But just like almost every music scene, it'll get popular and underground producers/DJ's become popstars. Mainstream, please keep away from Techno. Loved Dubstep when it was like this: Hell, even Dizzee Rascal used to put out some good dubstep songs which he rapped over! 10 years ago, I was still 10 . Didn't know what I was hearing! Even tho it's Grime. |

Angila Centofanti 28.05.2012 | [QUOTE=MyUsername;480729 And I can also see why the minimal fans don't want the brostep originator anywhere near their genre.[/QUOTE] you are a moron. Skrillex started Brostep.. rusko tried to cash in. |

Angila Centofanti 28.05.2012 | BIG UPS TO RUSKO!!! THE SOUNDGUY WAS HIS TARGET IN TEXAS!!! |

Angila Centofanti 28.05.2012 | I'm right there with you ... rusko fell off for sure... but all you guys flaming him are MORONS. YES.. HE FELL OFF... but his early music is gangster.... .... .. .. . . . So what... he fell off trying to stack some skrillex loot from the masses.... rusko is one of the OG's right up there with Hatcha, Benga, Skream... DMZ... all those fools... stop talking shit.. simple minded fools. |
Alyse Chiong 27.05.2012 | Pointless Update: "Due to extreme dehydration and under doctor's orders, Rusko is unfortunately being forced to postpone the next three shows." Two days after the Houston incident and a day after falling off stage in Dallas. And we all know what this means |

Erich Vallabhaneni 24.05.2012 | I dig some of his older jams like Big Choppa and such, but lately his music just sounds too much like Borgore's new stuff, forced. I understand that some people have moments when they lose it and the pressure of life gets to you, we've all been there, but he shouldn't have acted like a child on stage in front of people who paid money to come see him. Talking to the sound engineer after the show would have been a better solution. But really guys, some of these posts are fucking ridiculous. Dude that just straight put LanceBiase on blast, that was un called for. He's a pretty cool guy and we are here to help each other progress as DJ's, and yeah laughing at a mis-hap is a fun thing to do when it happens, but insulting someone because they like other things is stupid. Oh well, I also saw a pic from last evening
of them putting ole' Rusky in a ambulance. Comments? |

Not only do I enjoy the sounds he makes, which everyone is entitled to his opinion about that, but I've really enjoyed watching videos of him explaining his production techniques. It's really helped me understand things on a fundamental level, and he's a pretty funny guy while doing these. Seriously, he's an excellent producer. I follow him on facebook (don't do the twitter thing) and I've been to more than a couple of his live shows. He puts on a quite talented set, if you're into that style of music. And his sound? If not anything else, it's totally his own. Everyone has bad moments. "Celebrity" DJ's do too, and while I can't say I approve of this type of behavior, drugs do silly things to all sorts of people and I know Rusko's someone who doesn't hide his use of such things. For good or ill. I still have a crazy amount of respect for him as a producer and DJ. He helped make Dubstep what it is today, which is a serious accomplishment. I'm also really kind of bothered by the just straight slamming of a producer based on a single bad video clip of them, without any type of research. And I know for a fact a lot of people love to shit all over anything Dubstep related, but maybe you can take a second and replace "dubstep" with any other genre, and believe of it in that light. So he messed up, and got pissed about a show. We don't know the reasons behind it, it doesn't open the bloody doors to start crapping in circles about a genre of music a lot of people like, and a very talented producer in that particular genre. And I know some of you guys posting are not into Dubstep at all, that's fine. He was acting like a kid, for whatever reason. I don't know it, you don't know it, and whatever. Knock on him for that. But don't kid about his production, because it's seriously spot on for what it is. Unless you're completely well versed in something, it just shows an utterly huge amount of ignorance and unwillingness to learn. I don't usually get fired up about such things, and wasn't expecting to when reading the initial post. A celeb DJ doing something stupid, what's new? What bother's me is the responses from the community in this thread knocking on not the act, but taking it to new levels. Look into some of his production videos, and research the guy before you all out blast him and the style of music he plays. While you may not like Dubstep yourself, it doesn't mean it's okay to shit about it. One of the biggest lessons people fail to carry through life is: "If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all." I realize this is the internet, and that point is completely moot because people will do fuckall and not care about the consequences, but I believe it's an important thing to believe of before you say anything. Because sometimes it's better to be quiet and have people wonder if you're an idiot before you open your mouth and prove it to them. edit: Cooled down a bit, and I realize what I said was probably a bit over the top. But man, I really love this community and it's always been a place where we sit around and help each other out, rather than just blasting the shit out of people doing stupid things, and shitting on genre's of music we don't particularly favor. That's what got to me more than anything in this thread, and I should have just taken my own advice and not said anything at all. Not going to delete the post though, because I still feel it's poignant, but seriously, this isn't why I come to this website and that's what bothered me more than anything. Rusko's a decent guy who had a bad fallout, but shitting over things doesn't get anyone anywhere. And things just got out of hand here, myself included. |

Nereida Jasnoch 24.05.2012 | Guys, guys, you 're missing the point. We should all agree that rusko was acting like a 13 year old drama queen that had her first massive period and was crying and raging about and that somehow some sand got in her vagina and that only made things worse. Source: |
Jonathan Chiuchiolo 24.05.2012 | I'm not sure you understand the context dripstep was saying it with... he was speaking generally about the community s decline, I haven't been here that long but a sour attitude is present in a lot of posts, why not focus on skills so you can become famous and you can have others bitch about you LOL |

is getting out of control. Hate skrillex, hate guetta, hate pauly D, hate mau5...see where I'm going? A celebrity acts like a spoiled brat, and the hate flares up, and everyone bitches and guess what? In a week, there will be a thread because DJ X didn't have his CDJs plugged in, and everyone will go bonkers over how much they suck, how they are terrible live, don't like it, don't go see them. I like Ruskos music, lots of people do, don't like his attitude, tough. Do any of you care if my neighbor is a douche? Do any of you care if the most popular band in my city is 100% douche? No, but you won't complain about them. Sorry for the rant, but there is so much hate on here lately over DJs that apparently still have massive followings despite the fact that YOU don't like them. End rant. |
Laurel Litchko 24.05.2012 | it sucks to see him diss our city like that. his show has been hyped up for a quite a bit. i dj for the company and venue that brought him to houston. StereoLive has the best live sound ive heard and Nightculture brings pretty sweet events here. what im trying to say is, forget him. |
