Your Gig/ Party Pics
Your Gig/ Party Pics Posted on: 25.10.2010 by Wanda Insel Hi there,I was believeing that although we all speak daily about where we play and what we do for parties/ gigs/ actual DJ jobs, everyone else doesn't get to see it so why not start this thread to upload pics from said Gigs/ parties etc that you play anytime (if you feel they are generally viewable , I'll leave out mine where I'm wearing cowboy boots and nothing else). My latest ones were at the end of the thread below so I won't post again: http://www.djranking s.com/community /showthread.php?t=18371 Let's see some of yours then so we can all get a flavour of the places we all ply our trade!!!! | |

Claude Koveleski 30.07.2012 | Some gig pics not as a DJ but, a sound engineer. 229311_8684913250_2983_n.jpg224281_8684918250_3298_n.jpg228181_8684938250_6735_n.jpg226316_8684908250_1538_n.jpg |
Kasi Marget 30.07.2012 | Not sure if you read the whole thread but few months ago I posted a sum up of a gig I organized with a bunch of friends. Motivated by the first succes of our association, we did it again. We wanted the evening to have a Berlin flavor, and because we didn't want to spend much on the decoration stuff, the "squatting" idea was 100% spot on. Everything you'll see in the room didn't cost a thing, we just grabbed what we could find anywhere, asking factories for barrels and stuff... First of all, the trailer. Professionally made by a friend of us. It's in French, and it's a parody of a commercial so you might not get the whole thing. However, since we decided to make a Berlin themed party, if you're german you will love how we remixed your language. Pure awesomeness. A seat made of a supermarket "trolley" (not sure of the translation). 100% homemade The bar. Yep, the glass sign was a stolen traffic sign we remixed to be a glass. Notice the cans that we modified to look like speakers (they don't work, it was pure decoration). Smoking zone outside before the shit starts. Benches made of wood planks, barrels as giant trashes. Squat-like. Most of the walls were covered by graffitis. Unfortunately the photographer didn't take pictures of it exept this one. A bit of back 2 back jamming as the crowd starts entering the place and getting drinks. Warmup is over, the 2nd DJ starts his technoish set. That's some serious knob twisting right here. Then, SURPRISE. Break dance intermission for 10 minutes. Jump ! Jump ! Now the crowd is dense, and the 3rd DJ starts his banging techno set Traktor Kontrol S4. From inside the booth. The rumors says this guy saw the Light. It's easier to go on the table with an S4 than with 2 CDJ + a mixer. Starting my set dubstep/drumstep set. It was hot as hell. Again. Haters gonna hate. (Private message to some haters that showed up at the gig) Inconveignant of brostep : you may look like shit when it drops, but it's a part of the job I guess. Burst. Swag. ahaha BTW we had 4kW of subwoofers, that was a pretty huge overkill, and whenCDJs were moving by 15 cm on some bass drops. My mate's MacBook Pro even felt down from the table in the middle of his set.. Note to self : put tape under the CD players and laptop next gig. Speechless. Sweating ? You don't say ? It was like 40 |

Played a really nice set for an extreme sports festival I organize, banged lots of mainstream dnb under the sun with lots of people. One of the most enjoyable thing in the world, an open-air gig. Anyways, big up's Red Bull for letting us use this amazing truck. Much appreciated. |

Marybelle Ver 07.04.2012 | I put on a Hip Hop Night for Canterbury Fringe Festival last year. It was a good laugh, but bad weather didn't seem to help the numbers, but had some hardcore hip hop junkies down at least. Turntablists - Race, Dolittle, Buttaphingaz & Mc Soloman. Squirl doing a live piece... I DJ'd a Boxing day Birthday party with a mates 8k sound system in a small basement club! Was pretty epic fun... Don't rant about the Mouse on the TT, I can beatmatch etc etc... (My internal mouse was not working but now sorted after a format!) Using Xponent & Torq 2.0 20k+ in the other room! (Void & Funktion1 & some custom scoops) A good o'l fashion house party from a few years ago... 2.5k of Bose... hehe Peace |
