Traktor 2.6.1 update now live

Downloading right now. Changelog mentions metadata sync with drop box? Built in key analysis, synchronization with TRAKTOR DJ, which is probably the iOS app. Check it

To clarify, you have loaded service center, Clicked over view, 'Show details' for Traktor Pro 2, clicked 'locate' then pointed with finder to the applications folder of the installation of Traktor Pro 2 (or wherever you have installed it).
This then when looking back at the service center displayed for me the correct installation, which allowed me to intall the update.

Seems more keystrokes and scrolling, (as I said e.g 500 results) to go through that I wish to get to. When an option within the settings could solve this. Middle of a mix I do not want to be 'checking email' that much. No idea how hard it would be for NI to integrate a tick box to 'confine key search to current playlist'?
just sort you playlists by key and they all line up nicely. I've done that for as long as I've used MIK. The magnifying glass should not bee needed in playlists

So what you will end up after all of the tracks have been analysed and have the new key system, press the 'magnifying glass' for relevant keys and will end up with over, for example 500 tracks, not necessarily in the genre you are currently playing. I for one cannot remember all of those names of each individual track to identify.
Maybe it would be better to have an option to only show the relevant keys in the playlist you are currently playing in, or keys with tags that are relevant to the playlist?

I just updated my Macbook Pro with Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard so I could install Traktor 2.61. I am now getting an error message saying that it cannot update due to the application cannot be found in the stored location. I have not made any changes to my Mac settings or drive. Can anyone help me resolve this???

I don't believe you can see traktor's key in iTunes.
You answered my question from earlier with this, thanks! Now I can update.

I don't believe you can see traktor's key in iTunes. if they would let us pick a field in iTunes to also write the key to than that problem would be solved. Something like grouping or another field that's not used for anything

I don't know for sure, but when I analyzed all my tracks, some of the ones that were at 174.005 (for example) were at 174.000. I don't beatgrid though and haven't had a chance to play yet so I'm not sure how much better it actually is. In drum and bass, Traktor sometimes would put the downbeat on a snare instead of the first kick. If you didn't know your tunes or how to match manually, it could be a mess.

KeyFinder's creator did a test (you can see the results in the blog or in his thread in here) and Traktor came up just under KeyFinder. I guess it depends on who you ask...

Unfortunately i believe the app is ipad only! No biggie but dont believe you'll be doing any Traktor prep on your iPhone just yet.

I've had a very short testrun yesterday and found one very good point; it's great for windows 8 users. It's faster, makes better use of multiple processors (10% usage instead of 15% on my i7) and best is it actually closes when you close it (instead of having to use the taskmanager to really close it).

Another nice thing it doesn't make my vaio go crazy on the cooling fan, which it did for some weird reason with 2.6.0.

I like the key thing, I find it rather usefull that when you press the search button next to it, it comes back with songs in the same key but also with the logical other keys (opposing keys in the camelot circle). Very nice!

If you want to run it on 10.6.8 you need access to mountain lion or lion, install it there and copy the traktor.app back to your snow leopard install. I only tried the app, I let it set itself up without copying my maps etc, it works fine though, I cant see why snow leopard was dropped.

After I installed my dual SSD's default locations for things have gotten a little messy for me. I have tried to locate it through the service center, but cant find a folder that traktor seems to like as the default install location. I started with scratch pro 1.2.7, if that tidbit of info helps at all.

Something wrong here?
in my collections before analyzed by MIK is now
1m (traktor) = 8A (mik) / 1b = 8B
2m = 9A / 9B = 2b
3m = 10A / 10B = 3b
4m = 11A / 11B = 4b
and continuos...
