new dj set up with numark 4trak which I won! Posted on: 03.08.2012 by Sheree Vasconi This is my NEW dj setup. I used to have the djm800 as the center of my set up with 1210s and 2x X-1s. This was more than enough to get me through my traktor requirements. Then I won a dj competition and won the 4trak. I have to say it is much better than I ever would have thought.. The jogs are smooth and there are no latency issues at all with TSP2. Scratching is as good as cdjs. (Nothing like the ns6 when using traktor.) I still have the x-1s connected for the additional cue points. There are only 5 on the 4trak.. And I like having the option to either press a button to trigger a loop length or turn a knob on either 4trak or X-1. Fun Times!!! Other new additions are the mackie mr8 mk2 monitors... Boy oh boy are these awesome.. These are new after my krk rp8 G2s broke and the 3 year warranty was only applicable in the US. Sad times!! So i sold them off very cheap which made way for these beauts... it has to be said.. I prefer them to the krks. and finally... My ikea dj stand... expedit do wheels... result.. this give mobility and still has a very solid feel.. the wheels come attached to a bar so they actually make the unit more stable. table took me 30 mins to build and cost | |

Nereida Jasnoch 04.08.2012 | Nice positioning the X1s |
Sheree Vasconi 04.08.2012 | know where in particular... i found this comp on a facebook page for a dj supply shop. i entered the dj mix competition and boom! gotta be in it to win it! |
Alene Kalush 04.08.2012 | hey so ive always looked but where do you sign up to win DJ gear ? like what website? |
Sheree Vasconi 04.08.2012 | i will never sell my djm800.. you can map the 4trak to have vu meters on the touch strip instead of a track marker. at the moment im still finding my feet with the 4trak... but its much much better that anticipated! its good to have both djm and 4trak i spose. options open! |
Shoshana Garing 03.08.2012 | nice setup! i would go for the djm 800 myself i like my VU meters you wont find a better mixer for that i my head but how are they on the 4trak |
