Self built - Custom SL1200

Self built - Custom SL1200
Posted on: 19.07.2013 by Syreeta Burkepile
Got a pair of KKRs so I decided to redo my SL1200s to match the colour of the speakers and build a custom consul with an adjustable laptop stand.

Let me know your thoughts

Thanks Patch

Total cost per deck was $20 (inculding the pitch decal)
Doing the art work was most expensive.

Its done using a silk screen.

Yup, is a double pole switch, it cuts the power to everything.

Dont have an issue switching the decks off but the power switches for the speakers is at the back - didnt want to keep moving the speakers everytime I want to switch it on & off.

That light switch is interesting...

...is it connected to a power strip/extension lead for the decks, mixer and laptop?

I made them myself, got two pieces of steel tube (50mm x 50mm) wielded two metal plates on either ends.
I used a Kitchen counter rotating base and mounted this on the top.
Once I was done with the wielding I sanded & sprayed the stands
