I know cables, I set and struck about 3 kilometres of cable yesterday, oh do I know cables.
I agree, I like to buy Mogami with Nuetrik connectors, I get them professionally built, I've tried soldering my own snakes and they weren't that hard, so thats an option.

But USB cable I just try and find shielded good quality and recently read the benefits of ferrite cores.

The Dj tech tools are about the extremity I'd go, they look pretty cool

I can see getting good quality RCA cables but USB not so much. I just got those cause they look cool.

Damnit.. I'm drowning in my collection of perfectly fine USB cables yet I couldn't resist picking up 3 of these beauties. Marketing tip of the day: 1. add LEDs to whatever product you're selling, 2: profit.

Thanks, but to clear up the other guys post, im
def NOT rich, and so far away from it, I made a choice. now to many it might not have seem like the most logical because I can buy any usb cable for example like xonetacular said for 3 bucks, Ive had usb cables take a shit on me, its inevitable, and you cant prevent it, the jakets on the typical usb cords wear in time due to attentuation and theres no getting away from that at all, end clips breaking apart, and also drop outs, Ive had the unfortunate liberty of being one of those guys and im sure everyone here has at one point, where the party is going just right and boom (dead silence) only to find out the usb cable was the culprit. I saw the design as a plus, its rugged, and seems like they can take a beating, (Ive invested into gear and ive never made choice I wasnt comfortable with, these cables did hit the bank hard, but only in time will show whether the investment was well worth it)

Im in the IT and Telecommunications field and I will say this (and im sure many are aware by now) USB cables are made cheap for the obvious of profit, at our expense, Ive seen new usb cables go quick and some surprisingly still kicking, ive cut many in half and those that claim have shielding "arent" and there are those that do. When you have an array of frequencies and interferences theres always the possibility on ingress and cross interference, reason being because I deal with this everyday and more specifically on copper lines, if anyone has had the liberty to run a spectrum analyzer you would be surprised of the amount of interference passing through a cable even with a standard and or basic shielding (which most of the time is aluminum) and or aluminum braiding.

Its a risk im not going to take anymore, Only time will tell how these cables perform and ill gladly update everyone on it in time.

when I was 18 I bought 3 rca cables for $60 total, one is 3 meters $30 the other two are 1 meter $15, that was 10 years ago... what are you guys doing to your cables? I give them no respect, just wrap them up and chuck 'em in my bag. They are all still going strong...

I like them. I dont know if they make a difference performance wise, but they do look good, but I'm the type of person that appreciates someone who spent money on a good looking set of rims on a car and also doesnt mind spending money on nice clothes. To me it's no different then those who spend money on colored knobs on their mixers or controllers (which I'm not a fan of BTW), if there really is any performance gain I'd be curious to know. If they were priced close to any other replacement cable, im sure every schmuck would have them, and I'm also sure they would all claim that they make a HUGE difference....but oh well

It would be quite easy to prove there is zero difference in sound from one usb cable to another. Take any audio interfaces that has SPDIF connection (to rule out any errors from DAC conversions). Take any SPDIF cable and connect the digital input to the digital output of the soundcard. Open up your DAW and take a track and route the master output to the SPDIF out. Then open up a channel and route it from the SPDIF input, mute it, and arm it. Have the soundcard first connected with the cheapest functional usb cable you can find. Play and record the track into the muted channel. After it is finished then swap the USB cable to the fancy one and repeat the process. Now you have two audio files- invert the phase on one of them then combine them. If you are left with nothing that means there is no difference between the USB cables. If there is any difference there will be some noise left over, and this rules out any confirmation bias.

I had the honor of watching these USBneos in action last evening . I though they did look 'purdy and stuph', but I though they weren't that usable as I thought they would be.
This was due to the fact that they weren't soft/flexible but more sturdy/less flexible.
