^^ horrible music and even more horrible lights.
Different strokes for different folks, but IMHO that looks like one hell of a stage and lighting setup and only IMHO enhances the "show" ... and at the end of the day the showboating and big hits is all the regular folk go to these gigs for, not to be whingy about whether or not XYZ actually played everything live. 90% of the audience are not DJ's or Aspiring artists, or Musical Connoisseurs they go to see whats big and what their friends are going to see P.S. Fair enough if I was going to go and see Hawtin, Cox or Digweed playing live I would expect a lil less mental with the light and stage setup. The music being played and the lighting reflected each other pretty well in this case and judging from the crowd I'm sure they agree (again IMHO). |

Vada Branyon 06.07.2012 | i'm frustrated yet you couldn't wait to attack me personally hahaha. Sure m8. |

Vada Branyon 06.07.2012 | ^^ horrible music and even more horrible lights. I do not understand why people would pay money for that. |
Madelene Witek 06.07.2012 | Here, how about this. Happened a week ago a few hours away from where I live. I don't, give a fuck what they're doing up their, doesn't matter. all I know is, if you're in that crowd, you're having a damn time of your life. BELIEVE me. Yeah, you could sit in the far back and bitch soberly about how lame and phony this entire thing is. You really could. |
Fabiola Mcleran 06.07.2012 | Sorry to interrupt! But I agree that you need some skill to learn advance EDM. You may find short term courses online. Training is also given for 3-4 months. Rest is upon your passion.. Wise food storage Discount Code |
Ira Alsadi 06.07.2012 | Sounds to me like he got dissed by a raver chick at some point. |

Chasidy Heckenbach 05.07.2012 | i thought it was a funny read, would have been funnier if he actually meant to be funny and not just hating on dance music i guess he prefers rock music then |

Cole Maroto 05.07.2012 | a comment on the site summed it up perfectly: "stop liking what i don't like!" i never get how people can be so angry at an entire genre of music. he must have been minding his business one evening , all alone in his room when edm busted through the window and got rough with him saying "i'm the edm warrior, we can either do this the easy way...or the hard way..." i opted for the easy way, as most people do. |
Marva Cupid 05.07.2012 | It really astonishes me how much time these idiots have one their hands to write articles about how much they hate this or how easy something is. He should be practicing his music(rock, jazz, whatever the fuck else the fucker does.) This shoUldnt annoy us, we should stand proud of our scene, no matter if technology is there for everyone to TRY and make it. Anyone can sniff out a shit track. So to whoever the fuck wrote this, shut the fuck up and go find something else to entertain ur close minded, dumb brain of urs. *_* thanks and have a nice day*_* |

Fucking expletives. Michael Mann sucking knobs. Fucking bath salts reference, because that makes me sound hip like a 4chan nerd. More fucking expletives, the more I swear the more valid my point must be. Read into that statement however you like. |
Nilsa Erben 05.07.2012 | Typical local "hip" journalist. I watched Orbital playing out Live last evening on YouTube...it was friggin brilliant...I would gladly pay to see them play again, would I pay to see Skilless or David Forgetta - no bloody way...but lumping all EDM in one big nasty basket is pretty lame if you ask me, this fucktard of a writer is just as bad and talentless as Paris for jumping on the bash EDM bandwagon. |
Rolanda Clodfelder 05.07.2012 | Is there any reason I (or anyone else) should even care about what this person has to say ? Always amuses me when someone says "thats so easy" or "I could do that ..... if I wanted to" At the end of the day people pay to see a Deadmau5/Steve Akoi<Insert other live EDM artists> show, BECAUSE its A SHOW not because he is or isn't playing "live"... its the whole package of lights , sound, visuals, music, lasers etc. Now isn't this just the same as people go to see Britney Spears/Madonna/Kylie <insert artist> show BECAUSE its Britney/Madonna/Kylie the fact is that the majority of Solo/Group boy band/girlbands DO NOT sing live either and everyone knows it and has known for years. Just like Mr Mau5 Said the entire live system is a gigantic redundancy - sure if you want to sing live as an artist you can - but you can bet your life that if your voice sounds like crap on the evening your engineer will lower your mic volume and mix the recording instead. So ... whats the big deal ? |
Lashawn Maycock 05.07.2012 | I personally feel this 'EDM' (awful term) explosion and resultant backlash is mainly a US based thing, as if the mainstream audience/press have suddenly discovered electronic music albeit an overtly commercial one. The fact that dance music has been bubbling along quite nicely in the underground for many years before doesn't seem to get a mention. |
Morris Naggar 05.07.2012 | so rock is all the same? what about jazz? ambient? i mean...come on..being close minded can be the easiest thing in the world! and why cant producers perform live? its the same like bands, maybe we should tell them they are all boring and all the same. what if the world wants to listen to rihanna? so freakin what. if it wasnt for edm , and technology and artists that ''are boring'' then im sure rihanna wouldnt have gone very far with her carreer.. dont feed the troll guys. |
Jerica Salava 05.07.2012 | I believe a lot of this started when producers started to DJ. Back in 2001 I remember only true DJ's were playing at WMC. Now it's a bunch of music producers pretending to DJ. The average Joe can't tell the difference, but real dance music fans can sniff out the rats and it's finally being brought into the spotlight. |
May Artman 05.07.2012 | Terribly written to be taken seriously, but all true and mostly stuff that's already been pointed out a million times. I believe the most important point anyone's made with these articles is pretty well summarized by "the fans of this stupid fucking music are fucking stupid too". Or, as another article put it - "you can’t expect a growing mass of EDM fans to want a rarified, occasionally difficult, protracted dance floor experience: They probably just want to buy the ticket, ride the LED-lit ride, and go home." |
Dione Haimes 05.07.2012 | He's right, we should all just hang up our headphones now. /sarcasm He is kinda right though. you cant really name any point hes made that is wrong. |
