ZOMO Laptops stands and products
Posted on: 27.07.2010 by Lilliana Perris
Hi all,

I have been trying to get a laptop stand locally and its proving to be a BITCH!

I mailed a company who said they now stock ZOMO laptop stands.

Anyone used these before? Are they good?

http://www.zomo.de/en/Products/Laptop-Stands

The ones they have are the LS1 and and the LS-S1.

Thanks!

the best solution would be to construct another dj console table with ample space to put everything, but then again looking for a good carpenter who knows how to follow instruction would be troublesome (once i've made a small table with the lower compartment would fit a vinyl storage, but in the end it was wrong & the space is very low)

i'm looking for better suggestion...
If it's for 2 CDJs I might look at those dual stands, but if it's just for one it's probably gonna look like that.

I don't have the stand itself but something constructed like that will most likely be fine at most not super-ultra-mega-shitsgoingnowhere-secure. You get me ?

I've been looking for an affordable laptop/cd player stand & looks like Zomo LS-50 stands fits the bill (albeit slightly hefty, but under 160 USD incl shipping)

is this good enough & would the edges fit a cdj800? because here in this pic it fits the cdj2000...of course the design of cdj2000 is all straight and less curves unlike the previous models..

my last hope is only this http://www.ikea.com/my/en/catalog/products/50173654/
ask help from my cousin to buy it from Ikea Damansara & shipped it over to my place...

^^ LOL

and the only Ikea store in my country does not shipped to other states
the local furniture store are mostly outdated, unfashionable, expensive and always on the wrong dimension to fit a complete dj setup

Heres the much cheaper version by American Audio.
http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR317161

Its fine for the money. I have 2 in my studio.
Its very sturdy. The only down side is the shallow lips. They keep the lappy on ok but i it gets knocked it could pop off (in theory).

HEHEHE

They not available here mate.

This is basically the only adjustable stand around.

They want R950 for it. (83 quid)

Kinda pricey.....

I will need to believe about this. The Uber....or this Magma....ZOMO stand.

Uberstand is great - but the shelf doesn't hold many AI's. My U46DJ JUST about fits on it. The Zomo stands look bloody expensive - check out maplin or ebay for Millenium stands. Much cheaper.

yeah...thing is...they whack on a huge amount.

For instance. I bought my audio 4 for R2500 ( 220 Quid ) and had to brought to me by my boss from the UK( Our main office) and here it costs R4500.
So they whack one R2000.

The Uberstand costs like...70 Quid (R800) but they will charge R1300 for it here.

That's why I trawl the 2nd had sites (Gumtree) and rather get my travelling mates or co-workers to bring stuff for me.

You can pretty much get anything but they charge heavily.
They will import etc ...but you pay top dollar.

Rather just import it myself or get it brought over.

LOL ... didnt realise SA was so expensive.

The uberstand is wicked but i like the slope of the Magma. It angles the lappy towards you . Also the Uber isnt adjustable in height. When i see it in pics i always believe it looks too high...

Sick, the price is not bad considering the rest of the gear prices they have here in SA.

Still got my heart set on the Uberstand tho....will see if my boss is coming this way this month.

He always brings me shit from the UK....like my Audio 4.....SO much cheaper.
And he gets a kick outta bringing shit customs.....without them noticing!

His record is 3 laptops!

That stand is also made by MAGMA. I have it and it is excellent.
http://www.westenddj.co.uk/Product/M...APTOP%2DSTAND/

I have the American Audio stand that is similar but its not as good as the above as the lips at the front that stop the laptop from sliding forward arent as high.

I highly recommend it mate. Look out for the exact same stand by Magma its the 1.0 Stand. I got the folding 2.0 version but it was not sturdy enough, in fact it was as wobble as hell so i sent it back.
