Alright im new here/New to DJing. Posted on: 26.07.2012 by Casandra Misenar Hi Guys! Been looking around the site and seems very legit! And i just have 2 simple questions... I just bought a DDJ T1 it comes with Traktor 2.5? I believe... Is Traktor Scratch Pro and Traktor 2, two completely different things or is there a way to load Traktor Scratch Pro? Because every video or picture I see shows Scratch Pro... And when i spin the jog wheel, is there a way to eliminate that scratching sound? Ive seen videos of Scratch Pro 2 and you dont have the scratching. Im very very confused as to what im doing.... | |

Nancey Inderlied 28.07.2012 | Look at the mixer section of the controller, vertically, and imagine it as a signal path, going down. The cue button on the mixer is above the fader, so it sends a "pre fader" output to the headphone output (the jack on the front), known as a cue bus. Thus, regardless of where the fader is (down, practically), you'll be able to hear the "cued" track in the headphones, while not having it output to the main speakers (the master outs in the back). This allows you to cue a track in your headphones, without everyone hearing it, just press the cue button, cue the track and get it matched, and then bring the volume fader up to bring the track in to the main mix. If the fader is up when you scratch, it'll play in the master, if it isn't, it won't. |
Casandra Misenar 28.07.2012 | Jesus Christ I'm a idiot. And I skimmed through the Manuel. So ur telling me if and when I get real speakers I won't hear the Jo wheel when I scratch? Wow check mate man... I even asked in page 2 I believe... SMH |
Nancey Inderlied 28.07.2012 | Yes. That is the entire issue. The input on the front is the headphone output, used for headphone monitoring. The outputs on the back are the master outputs. Problem solved. Side note: if you had read the manual, like I suggested you do, like every person on the planet should do for virtually every $900 purchase they make, you would have known that the instant you read about it. |

Nancey Inderlied 28.07.2012 | What are your speakers plugged in to on the controller? |

My bet is that somewhere in the crossfader controls, something is configured a bit weird that shouldn't be, but you don't understand the basics of the hardware, so you wouldn't know. If switches are flipped that send signals to make the software do things, the software is going to do those things until you change the control on the hardware. Additionally, if there's something not right with your hardware I/O or routing (also covered in the manual), you'd be able to diagnose it instantly with some educational insight. This isnt a software bug I'm sure. |

The software and the hardware aren't the issue, it comes down to a way you have it set up. |

Nancey Inderlied 27.07.2012 | Turn the fader starts off, and turn the crossfader off. Then you'll actually be able to control when audio plays with the transport controls and the channel faders. |

Shonda Soulier 27.07.2012 | Bhajan's got it from here. I'm out of ideas! |
Brenna Welbes 27.07.2012 | Here's something I found on another community
: step 1 - uninstall traktor, remove mapping, drivers step 2 - restart 3 - download drivers for T1 (in my case for win7) and install drivers. you can find it on pioneer website. 4 - restart 5 - install traktor 2 6 - restart my T1 was connected all the time during instalation, i dont know, maybe is nessesary. and that is ALL you need to do, i hope it was helpful Here's some links to check out. It seems this is a common issue with that device. http://www.native-instruments.com/fo...d.php?t=163972 http://community s.pioneerdj.com/entries/...-my-headphones |

Shonda Soulier 27.07.2012 | seems like an audio routing issue...your cue is coming through in the master. it's bizarre. so yeah, try this. launch preferences, click the setup wizard button down in the lower left. plug in your controller "yes" you're using an external controller - next choose pioneer DDJ-T1 - next "no" external mixer - next choose the setup you want in that dropdown (looks like 2 track decks) - next finish |
Brenna Welbes 27.07.2012 | Yea I would start fresh... that's all jacked up! Or switch you're output routing to something else, then switch it back. It's almost like it's not routing correctly. |

Rolanda Clodfelder 27.07.2012 | Could be possibly ... 1. Crossfader not assigned. 2. Audio outputs incorrectly assigned, e.g. you are getting one speaker + one headphone for cue and vice versa for the master. Try swapping the audio outputs e.g. if its currently Cue output 1+2 and master 3+4 try 1+3 and 2+4 and so on until its doing what it should be. Some screenshots of the Traktor audio prefs window would help along with the main Traktor window with xfader assignment displayed. Just some thoughts. |
Brenna Welbes 27.07.2012 | Yea thats definitely not working the way it should. |
Casandra Misenar 27.07.2012 | Maybe its my speakers or something but if i press Cue on Deck A, with the crossfader switched all the way over to the left all i hear is Toulouse on both my headset and speakers Now if i turn the Cue button off, nothing is coming out of the speakers, but the tracks are playing. Now if i press Cue on Deck B in my headphones and speakers I hear Titanium in my headphone and speakers... |
