And I would like to add my +1 for twitch for regular mixing and +1 k2 if OP had something else in mind.

Says the guy who just said "lawl"...

Anyway, S2 jog effects are pretty cool I must admit. Twitch is a blast to play on too so you can't go wrong with either. But you do get Traktor with the S2 which is tough to beat.

LOL!

For simple and great controller I'd say a VCI-100 is hard to beat. Yeah i know it doesn't have a soundcard and has jogs but for all the great things DJTT has mapped it to do, it's tough to beat for the price.

Also X1 + Mixer is also a nice set up if you already have a mixer....and not just for scratching

you want a truly simple controller? korg nano kontrol all the way! enough knobs, faders, and buttons to do anything with, and it practically fits in your pocket.

I say Twitch if you don't want the jogs. Or S2 with a diffrent mapping. Sarus, why do you have to be so condescending?

Xone K2 or twitch

Jogs can be mapped to do good things though a la DJTT mapping

With that in mind i'd still say S2 is a wicked controller for what it is

Why + mixer? Xone k2 will do fine on it's own. He's not going to use Jogs so no scratching therfore no need for a cross fader.
