Dubstep mix battle 2. Submissions begin.

Due date is June 2nd

The rules are as follows:
  • Your mix must be original and made specifically for this battle.
    It cannot be posted anywhere until after voting begins.
  • Your mix must be 15 minutes long. +/- 2 minutes.
  • You are allowed up to two non-dubstep tracks.
    Remember, this is a dubstep mix battle.
  • Voting will last 1 week after I post the voting thread.
    If the voter turn out is low and everyone agrees, there will be a 1 week extension


Requirements for MP3
  • Your mix must be 320kbps.
  • Your mp3's title must have your community username in the title
    I need to know who to give credit to on the community !
  • Must have your 'dj name' under 'artist'.
    If its blank, ill pm you about it. if theres no reply ill use your community name
  • Your mix must have a unique title that does not give away your identity.
    If it does, I will rename it.
[*]Do not include any cover art!

  • Download link
    Mediafire links are preferred. File compression is optional, but I should only be downloading one file.
  • Track list
  • Yes/ No permission to share download link during and after voting

  • Mediafire links added each mixes description

Did it drunk, submitted it, accidentally deleted the file and then BT accidentally hard-disconnected my phone line at the exchange leave me without internet for the past week or two while they try and get engineers to come out and fix it!

I can see my tracklisting and the mediafire link in my PM to theory at work, but can't download it.

So, I've no idea what mine sounds like. I like the track list though!

When do the voting lines open?

I'm quite looking forward to hearing everyone else's. Finding it funny how everyone is protecting their rep by saying "done it, but it sloppy/rough/messe up etc". Have some confidence and just believe "fuck it, I like it and if you don't, screw you"

02.06.2011		i took 4 takes, in a stupid way...

1) forgot to press record
2) loaded wrong track
3) didn't like my choice of start track
4) nailed it

each time with a different playlist/order

02.06.2011		In the end i did just say fuck it and go for it in 1 take lol. And like I said, 2.0.1 was super stable and worked fine. Also, I was mixing fine for a good hour before I started recording, and it was only then that it crashed, so it could be connected to the mix recorder.

I didn't have the same problems you were having but I was a mess all day trying to use 2.0.2. I did the mix later on using 1.2.7 and it was gravy. I was still sloppy but everything worked the way it was supposed to. Guess I'll be sticking with 1.2.7 a while longer after this...

Just do what I did. Get drunk, go over to your laptop and record something then submit it. Be spontaneous

This mix is not going to win me any respect lol. Ah well. Having had my tantrum I did then have fun listening to a rather eclectic collection of dubstep. 2.0.1 worked fine btw there are definite stability problems with 2.0.2.

01.06.2011		(for mac) look in applications, native instruments, traktor 2, backup.

2.0.1 is in there, loads separately.

01.06.2011		right. So i found the old 2.0.1 install. Decided to go for it and record 15 mins of live me to see if anything cool happened, screw preparation. I listened back to it and to my ears the first transition sounded like an absolute abortion, but other than that I've done worse. Should I bother uploading it?
