Gotye - Somebody that I used to know (Mick Benjamins' Extended Edit) Posted on: 20.12.2011 by Kalyn Billodeau http://soundcloud.com/mickbenjamins/gotye-somebody-that-i-used-to
Since I heard this track for the first time, I fell in love with it. The bass, the guitar, the shakers and the vocals... It all blends so nice together.
There was one thing I did not like about the original, with 4:04 it isn't long enough. I finally decided to make an edit of the original. Based on the stems that Gotye released a while ago. My goal was to stay as close to the original as possible, so I did not add any sounds, I did leave out a few. The result is a more then 11 minute long version that will not bore you ;-) | |

Commenting on each-others work is fine - I like people to be honest as well - but they have to tell me why it sucks and how they would do it, so I can decide for myself whether they are right or wrong. And if you want to be a smart-ass, here's one for you: I know only one thing: I know nothing - Socrates You know nothing you dumb-nut. Facts do not exist. @ Addictive: Your version rocks, enjoyed it much more than Wyte's version. |

Breana Singerman 31.12.2011 | But who's to say he didn't already have a similar edit himself though? There really isn't anything distinctive to say it's "yours". |
Kalyn Billodeau 31.12.2011 | That the people from the club, told me. And that I sent my version to Kristian from Ame. Anoher vid: [ame]http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=296969280346284[/ame] |
Breana Singerman 30.12.2011 | What makes you say it's your version? |

Breana Singerman 24.12.2011 | Let me say this, no one ever got better from coddling them. How do you believe all the OG Chicago and Detroit guys did it? If some one was sucking it up they would tell them just that, they wouldn't say "good job man" and leave it at that. They were always honest and blunt with each other as that would push them to do better and show them up next time. A little competition goes a long away, and if you can't handle a little adversity then maybe it's time to move on to something else. Another quote that comes to mind "Others can stop you temporarily - you are the only one who can do it permanently." --Zig Ziglar |

For what it is worth, you are a talented DJ, but based on your attitude and arrogance, I probably wouldn't listen to your work if it was the last piece of audio material on f*cking earth, I'd rather be deaf. Also, to the original poster, Addictive, I am sorry for de-railing your thread, but I was frustrated with seeing Nephew post like this so many times in my short time on these community s. I believe your edit of this track is fantastic, and it is not my preferred genre, keep up the good work my friend. |
Breana Singerman 24.12.2011 | So not once, in his whole life, did he pay any form of tax? And I did say in the past 50 years too, by the way. Also, you're the one who went off on this whole tax subject, not me. |
