If it was labeled that, I more than likely wouldn't have even clicked on the link. But since you labeled it a "Summer Grooves" I clicked on it as that's what I was looking forward to, not just generic tech house fodder.

name your mixes what ever you want. I once named one "waiting for my tea to cook" because my food was cooking whilst I recorded it. If you were rocking bermuda shorts (hopefully 1980's fluorescent ones) then call it a summer mix by all means. at the end of the day who gives a f*ck!

18.06.2012		Hey. Listened to this a few times over the weekend and on my day off today. Love the vibe. Great track selection and its got a great energy to it that remains throughout. Of course the mixing is spot on but you already knew that.

11.06.2012		Well shit, if you're going that route, then everything played on Ibiza during the summer months must be "summer" music, or anything played anywhere during the summer months must be summer music.

And I know he plays at Space, I know what he does (personally I'm a big fan of his, just not his productions ). But that sound is that thing I, and a lot of other people I know and speak with, would associate with summer.

11.06.2012		Well, IN MY OPINION, people don't relate "summer" to Carl Cox and big room tech house tunes. Quite the opposite I'd say.

And you're Carl Cox example is a bit off and far reaching I'd say, as Carl could play it in the middle of winter and still have the same effect on the listener.

That's like putting making a slo mo, groovey deep house mix at 112bpm but labeling it as being a "peak time banger mix". Just seems a bit misleading is all.

11.06.2012		everyone is entitled to an opinion, however when i asked for feedback i meant on the music and the mix itself not the title i had given it. Its called that as simply ive done a house mix which was vol 1 then i did a deep house mix which was vol 2 so i simply just carried on, where you never came onto those 2 mixes and commented on those, however u came onto this one and simply slated me for what it was called. I could understand if you said, your 2nd mix was slightly off, or song 4 didnt go that well into song 5 etc etc but to just purely comment on it about the title then i dont find that constructive at all. Like someone said why cant tech house be summery, if someone goes to ibiza this summer and they are in space and carl cox drops one of the songs on my mix say and this particular person loves it then that will be a song that reminds them of that "summer" in ibiza wouldnt it? i didnt mean it was full of songs that are like dj jazzy jeff & the fresh prince - summertime lol...

Who says that something labelled "summer grooves" can't be techy, fast and jackin'? One persons definition of a summer mix is completely subjective. Maybe just forget the title and give some constructive feedback on the mix regardless!! Im in Aus so we are in the 11th day of winter.... i'll remember not to take that into account when giving my opinion eh?
