Al Henger 12.08.2010 | yah I know all about EmergeNC. I saw Mind Elixer in Ashville..... I have to say I was kinda dissapointed, but I figure he was just super trashed, cause he came on after Excision... and everyone left was fucked. I saw diesel boy before that. |

Eden/Kanye 'Diamonds from Sierra Leone' mashup I've been "planning to do for a while"... no dice but big ups for Slim Thug; actually happened across the Labwerx blog earlier today and I like where you're going with this thugstep thang. It's good to hear some womps south of the Mason-Dixon and east of Californee-way haha. Keep it up dude |

Alta Corea 04.08.2010 | I would drop that sum bitch in my set for sure. |
Harold Jaras 04.08.2010 | thanks for the tips guys, will definitely take all of them into consideration for the final mixdown |
Many Atia 05.08.2010 | snare seems a little far back in the mix compared to the massive bassline... maybe layer it with another snare to add some snap? the bassline, while huge and deep, might sound interesting with some portamento? also, you never filter it at all. maybe for some of the verses, applying a lowpass would not only add interest (the bassline is basically the same loop for the entire tune) but it'd make more space in the mix for some much needed additional elements. one last thing... in the intro, maybe applying the highpass filter to both the bass and the drums (as opposed to just the bass) would make for a more natural sounding effect. |
Riccardo gava 03.08.2010 | DEEP intro note What's the acapella? works real well! Think your kick and snare could be louder and the vocal sidechained to them a little bit. Sounds thick and dark, just needs a bit of a mix tweak to get the best out of it! |
