Abelton Simpler question
Abelton Simpler question Posted on: 05.09.2010 by Nestor Witkowsky Aight... watched this video.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZe8G...eature=related It's a Live 8 tutorial and I just now realized I have the Live 7 Lite APC40 version. Will update soon enough, but this has me frustrated. The behavior in the video is that he drops it, and it plays the entire sample for the duration of the clip (16 bars). What I'm seeing is that it's restarting at each bar. The behavior I get is actually making sense to me programatically... just not sure how to get what he's got. And, I did RTFM. 21.2.1
Samples can be dragged into Sipmler either directly from the Browser, or from the Session or Arrangement View in the form of clips. In the latter case, Simpler will utilize only the section of the sample demarcated by the clip's start/end or loop markers.

Tressa Schemenauer 28.09.2010 | Alright.. I'll take a stab at this.. If I understand you properly you're having problems w/ Simpler playing your sample from your desired start & stop locations... if you haven't already set these regions in the audio tab, then when you drag your clip from the arrangement or session view it will play the entire sample. From within Simpler you can drag the start & stop locations to where you desire in the Simpler waveform window.. just drag the markers on the left and right of this window.. once you've done this when you trigger the sample it will play only the section that isn't grey'd out. Hope this helps. |
