Hey peeps

Just doin my Ableton training at the moment...my god its amazing, so much to the program its stunning!!

Anyway...does anyone know the plugins and parameters to get that Afrojack/Dirty Dutch type of sound in ableton?

I dont wana just take the audio from another track and slice it to a new midi track i wana make the sound myself originally.

Any help?

Hope so.

and ull have to set the portemano up to 40-50% so you get that kind of whiney gliding sound to it aswel... or u can pitch bend it manually, but thats only if you want specific notes to glide and others not to...

you need to load an instrument device. Either it be Ableton's Operator or a synth VST - you need something to make the initial sound.

Operator uses a saw synth as its basic sound, so does NAtive Instrument's Massive. then just automate the pitch. That is the simplest (yet most time confusing) way to create a dirty dutch melody.

thats a pretty simple saw synth. You can basically set up pitch automation using the red lines to create your wanted melody.

@jesc...yeah defo a voice based, i'll record my own voice instead of sampling someone elses and then add the synths and plugins to it, just wondering which to add to give it that sound....
