Estefana Musfeldt 02.01.2011 | I use ableton, i find you can mess about and get idea's going a bit better than you can with fruity loops or reason. |

Aracely Mcalvey 01.01.2011 | Sometimes I'll use FL studio if I want to use a certain plugin (like Plogue chipsounds or something), only because it runs a little more stable than REAPER (which is like a k-mart version of pro-tools). And again, I'll just bounce it out and drop it on the timeline in REAPER. |
Shu Dietiker 01.01.2011 | ableton? never really used it... but can u produce with it? whats it good for? i mean i heard of it but never relaly tested it or sumthin.... but i believe ur right.... not to limit things... i will probably work with maschine and keep logic and if i would really fully rely on maschine then i would maybe abandon it... or? |
Crystal Imfeld 02.01.2011 | I still love using reason myself from time to time, like yourself i cut my teeth using reason, but im now using logic 9. I dont like to limit myself to any 1 daw, i also use pro tools, and im just learning to use fl as well. |
Aracely Mcalvey 31.12.2010 | I use Reason, only because it's what I cut my teeth on. I know my way around it well enough. Subtractor is great for basslines, and THOR is great for just about anything you could imagine. I LOVE Reason 5's Kong drum designer. I will say that I don't care much for mixing within Reason. I usually bounce tracks out of Reason, into REAPER for mixing down and mastering. |
Ashirumatic DJ 31.12.2010 | Answer - NO Logic's audio engine is really good. My workflow usually is when I have quick ideas I wnna bang out I open ableton. Then when I wanna dig in deeper I open logic and set up ableton as a Rewire on a channel. The Maschine right now is a new addition, so it has limited use thus far for me, but I am using it everytime I work and finding more and more features I like about it. Right now I just like the fact I can really issolate the parts of samples I like. When Maschine supports VST/AU what that will probably mean for me is I will hash out ideas with the device then work my way to a final logic project. |
Shu Dietiker 30.12.2010 | well vst is goin to be supported in maschine soon... would u abandon logic if u r working with maschine? whats ur opinion on maschine? what r the ups and downs? cuz personally i cant see whats bad at maschine... it seems tgo me that it might soon beat logic in its own ways even though logic has been on the market for long but native instruments seems to have a good hype on it.... ??? |
Ashirumatic DJ 30.12.2010 | I use: Logic with Ableton and/or Reason rewired with Maschine, Massive, FM8 and various other VST/AU's. |
Nedra Fresneda 30.12.2010 | Ableton mainly because i brainstorm in the arrangement view, that's how my workflow goes. Logic and Maschine powers combined are a lovely combo, IMO you don't need anything else. |
Crystal Imfeld 30.12.2010 | Second that im buying maschine in the new year but there is now way i wont be using logic alongside it. its taken me 2 years to get my head round using logic and im not throwing that away i will just combine them both. |
Cristian Carmona 30.12.2010 | use logic and maschine |
