My first big fat progressive house anthem!!? Posted on: 04.01.2011 by Omer Defillipo Hey guys! This is my entry for beatport's remix contest of Laidback Luke's Timebomb. I tried to make a big fat anthem thingy, and I would really like to know what you believe of it. This is also the first track I've ever completed. If you like it, or even if you don't like it but you're feeling nice today, I would be very glad if you could press that "spin it" button and give me a vote, thanks! Any crit will be appriciated! http://www.beatportal.com/remix/deta...omb-267-remix/ | |

Omer Defillipo 13.02.2011 | SO I took the time to Re-do this properly and I am starting to be really happy with the result! Fixed the song structure, Redid almost everything except the vocal part and the dropping parts. So take a listen, and tell me what you believe, any crit is really really appriciated. http://soundcloud.com/patient267/timebomb-267-remix-laidback |
Tierra Barbish 19.01.2011 | Wow, great track! I love the synths! |
Jaymie Rothbard 14.01.2011 | id call this electro, certainly doesnt fall under my definition of progressive - its far to harsh sounding.... but as an electro track its pretty decent, the vocals are a bit loud in the mix. your drop after the vocals is very very good though, have to say. one thing i dont like is how it goes straight into another breakdown after that, that would irritate me on the dancefloor. keep producing bro - you have a good ear. and dont fall into the trap i did of starting loads of tracks and not finishing them! |
Chance Depenbrock 15.01.2011 | just keep up the good work, i can see that you have talent, just keep on producing, develop the skill, download tutorials, remake tracks and you'll get there all the best! |
Omer Defillipo 14.01.2011 | Bumpin this thread for some feedback! |
Omer Defillipo 09.01.2011 | all synths are made from scratch in Reason! Used the Thor polysonic synthesizer and just played around with the oscilliators and reverb etc. Any specific synth you want more details about? |
Chance Depenbrock 08.01.2011 | tiki tiki the full vocal is ace (synths - which vst, preset? pm me if you dont wanna reveal |
Omer Defillipo 08.01.2011 | Thanks Oakich and RobDeLarge! Oakich do you mean the tiki tiki oh oh oh oh oh oh oh part or the part with the full vocals and piano?? |
Caron Burckhardt 07.01.2011 | Spun |
Chance Depenbrock 06.01.2011 | SPun! Honestly, the first drop (when the vocals enter), that part sounds terrible.. the lead sounds just really shitty but the second drop and the synths ARE HUUUUGE!!! |
Omer Defillipo 05.01.2011 | oh and once more, if you like this, please log in with your beatport account in the upper right corner of THIS PAGE and then press "spin it" next to my track to send a vote my way! Would be very, very much appriciated! |
Omer Defillipo 04.01.2011 | Thank you both! Really appriciate it!!! |
