My first big fat progressive house anthem!!?
Posted on: 04.01.2011 by Omer Defillipo
Hey guys!

This is my entry for beatport's remix contest of Laidback Luke's Timebomb.
I tried to make a big fat anthem thingy, and I would really like to know what you believe of it. This is also the first track I've ever completed.

If you like it, or even if you don't like it but you're feeling nice today, I would be very glad if you could press that "spin it" button and give me a vote, thanks!

Any crit will be appriciated!

SO I took the time to Re-do this properly and I am starting to be really happy with the result! Fixed the song structure, Redid almost everything except the vocal part and the dropping parts.

So take a listen, and tell me what you believe, any crit is really really appriciated.

id call this electro, certainly doesnt fall under my definition of progressive - its far to harsh sounding....

but as an electro track its pretty decent, the vocals are a bit loud in the mix. your drop after the vocals is very very good though, have to say. one thing i dont like is how it goes straight into another breakdown after that, that would irritate me on the dancefloor.

keep producing bro - you have a good ear. and dont fall into the trap i did of starting loads of tracks and not finishing them!

just keep up the good work, i can see that you have talent, just keep on
producing, develop the skill, download tutorials, remake tracks and you'll
get there all the best!

all synths are made from scratch in Reason! Used the Thor polysonic synthesizer and just played around with the oscilliators and reverb etc. Any specific synth you want more details about?

SPun!

Honestly, the first drop (when the vocals enter), that part sounds terrible.. the lead
sounds just really shitty but the second drop and the synths ARE HUUUUGE!!!
