Glitch Pops in Ableton Live 8 only when track is armed...?
Posted on: 22.02.2011 by Simone Mensing
Hello world. Im having a little issue. I am attempting to record sounds off my Microkorg into ableton but i keep getting lame pops in the audio. I am using a M-audio Fasttrack Pro to route the sounds through. When the track is un-armed i get clear and beautiful sound but when i click the arm button i hear pops in the audio every 10-15 seconds or so. But why....

HELP!

The Hp Touchsmart has the beats audio soundcard built in but i am routing the synth through a M-audio fast track pro.

Of course.... you still have to record the audio some how now that I believe about it, so that doesn't really solve the problem
Yes i just figured that out ha.

Im still figuring out ableton so bare with me. Are you suggesting i plot out the notes in a midi track and then somehow use the microkorg sounds in this midi track?

i was talking about the M-audio fasttrack pro... your hp soundcard has nothing to do with it
for the same price as the fast track i would go for a different company then m-audio.

sorry i realized i wasn't clear the first time around in my head you were using Pro-tools. but i believe the fasttrack has issues all around with different DAW!

it's probably your soundcard what computer are you using?

if it is a snow leopard mac then the pop is a bug and AVID the big morons
are trying to fix it.... they have been since snow leopard came out.
but since it's avid well it could take a while or even never get fixed.

i would suggest re-installing the drivers.

but really if you can afford it, by a different soundcard.! goodluck

*just saw you had a pc, well actualy some of my friends who use Protools M-powered on their pc have had bad crashes, really the soundcard is terrible on most platform, use XP or leopard believe it would work better*

Yeah pretty much, not familiar with the MicroKorg, but does it have a Midi in port?
