Moshe Gariti 17.04.2011 | Good good! |
Shakira Gray 17.04.2011 | needs quite a lot of variation. sounds like the same thing on repeat. drum pattern is cool though. |
Breana Singerman 17.04.2011 | Those are more tool tracks, more of a stripped down tech groove with out much variation. Some more full on mixes are going to be released soon. And by dry, I meant your track was lacking FX, hence the "dry" part. No reverb, delays and so on to give it depth and stereo field. |
Leonardo Papajohn 17.04.2011 | searched, i feel as if its exactly house you explained my track. Dry as hell, no swing, no variation. Clean mixdown, and good mastering tho. is that all you have up there? just the ep? |
Breana Singerman 17.04.2011 | http://soundcloud.com/nephew/down-under-to-the-up-and-over and http://soundcloud.com/nephew/stuck-on-repeat These are older projects though, but these are what I have up at the moment. Have a string of new projects I'm going to be uploading this month so there's more to come. |
Breana Singerman 17.04.2011 | Sure, I'll post some stuff. You can also go to bearport and search Jason Bay to see some stuff |
Leonardo Papajohn 17.04.2011 | thanks man i appreciate it |
Emilee Woytovich 17.04.2011 | I love the drum pattern, I believe it's a nice change from some of the simpler patterns out there. And I agree that this tune could benefit from some automation to keep the sound changing through the track which will help keep the interest up. Good luck! |
Leonardo Papajohn 16.04.2011 | why ofcourse ill do that really interested in hearing some your work |
Breana Singerman 16.04.2011 | I would delete the whole arrangement and start from scratch, and then everything else I said before as well. I'd even go back and rebelieve the groove as it's very dull, and even go back and look at the mix down again. |
Leonardo Papajohn 16.04.2011 | Lol i appreciate the criticism, its very much unfinished thats why it says it in the name of the track.. i posted to get some feedback from people So since ive heard all the bad things about my track, how about you tell me somethings i can do to improve it |
Breana Singerman 16.04.2011 | No idea what you have going on there mate, the groove is very straight, no swing or variation to it to keep it interesting, and all you have going for you is that LFO'ed bass and that even gets old after a while. Need to go back and look at your arrangement as well. There's nothing exciting about it at all. And it's dry as hell from what I can hear. No automation or modulation at all from the sounds of it. Just keep at it mate, you have some good sounds in there but the track as a whole is severely lacking. |
