Agreed. I don't believe this is remotely near prog-house.

If you want a Carl Sagan inspired track then check out Deep Space by Space Laces

I sampled it from a Carl Sagan Audiobook, I listen to em while I'm at work

Putting a big kick in there isn't a bad idea, I believe I'll mess with that a bit.

Dig it.

Would love a harder (techno? ) remix version with a big, beefy kick.

I love sagan, he is inspiring me in every way imaginable. This was made in Ableton Live 8, I'm still learning the ropes on it

Very nice (and yes, I'm a fan of Carl as well... which is why I checked the thread). What did you use to make it?

I like these types of tunes, even though I don't have nearly enough to ever mix 'em.

Oh, and I'm a HUGE Carl Sagan fan, just to get that outta the way.

Love it! You now have a new follower on soundcloud.
And for the genre hubbub; I hear this as some deep house-techno cross-breed.

I like it dude! Nice and deep, keep working on it! I'd spin this in the beginning of a set without a doubt.

And this would go in my book as Minimal, Deep House.

Yeah in Detroit, unfortunately I am in Kansas City, which has absolutely no electronic scene whatsoever

What are you talking about? Techno was born in the midwest! And like I said, it's more of a proggy house tune than anything else I'd say

I'm from the midwest lol so still trying to get the boundaries between genre's down. So would it be more of an IDM track?

Good, but definitely not techno.

More of a laid back proggy house sounds, but good none the less. Sounds solid in all aspects, could add a bit more depth to the mix maybe for the feeling it has and maybe some automation
